[Groundwork Project] Hey {NAME}, I wanted to pop in and share the next two staff members who helped create and build Groundwork into the team we are today. Read more about Emily Kaufman, Groundwork’s Executive Director and Julia Hoffman, our Senior Advisor. Emily and Julia’s passion and commitment drives Groundwork to new heights at every turn. Our staff provides hands-on support and resources to the growing Groundwork community including our partners and grantees, and your support is central to powering that behind-the-scenes work – [grow our network and expand our mission with your contribution today.]( I learn so much working alongside Julia and Emily, and I’m eager for you to get to know them better below ↓↓↓ Aspen – Aspen Christian (they/them) Digital Director Groundwork Project --------------------------------------------------------------- [Emily Kaufman]( What is your proudest moment since being with Groundwork? For the first year of Groundwork it was just a couple of us trying to put this thing together part-time, with Joe, in whatever extra hours and after hours we could manage. My proudest moment is any time I sign onto Zoom now and see a full, beautiful, and growing team looking back at me. We built a real thing! And the people involved, from staff to partners to grantees, are what make it extraordinary. Groundwork Project celebrates the lived experiences and realities of exceptional but often overlooked organizers working 365 days a year, against all odds, to advocate for their communities and to hold their local, state and national elected leaders accountable in order to build a political system that is actually representative. Groundwork does this in order to prove that this is the essential work and the single best way to build sustainable political power for long-lasting change. With a focus on Appalachia, the Deep South, and the Plains, we support local advocates and activists working to build durable political infrastructure and secure power for those historically excluded.
