I hosted a meetup with around 25 pen friends that showed up. It was great to get to see them all, play pens, and talk New Orleans culture. I even had one guy (hey Dylon!) drive 8 hours each way just to hang out! It was an absolute blast, and I wish I could have stayed all day. They have their own local pen club where they meet monthly and a bunch of their members came. Seeing new people connecting with others locally in their city and making lasting connections was rewarding to be a part of. As I've been traveling more I've been making an intentional effort to do these local meetups, and I'm always glad when I do. No matter where I go, I meet incredible people.
