So, you know that your website isn't great, but you just can't put your finger on what's wrong with it 🤔 Or maybe you've been staring at it for so long that you just can't say whether it's good a bad anymore 🤷 Here's a simple framework I use to review my clients' sites that makes the problems with their copy visible almost instantly. (This is literally the first section of every website review report I create for my clients.) Gill's website review framework To send you an inquiry, your prospects need to find these 4 fundamental aspects on your website: 1) Clarity: “I understand every word and the overall message.” 2) Relevance: “I recognize myself.” - They recognize that your offers are targeted towards a kind of people/companies they are/work for - They recognize their own problems and needs 3) Value: “I see how it can be valuable to me.” - Specific services they are looking for - Their specific hiring decision criteria are covered 4) Trustworthiness: “I trust this person/companies to keep their promises / do a good job.” - Specificity (the copy lets them imagine super-specific things) - Social proof (testimonials, data points, case studies) - Photos of real people behind your business + The natural order of information from most important (what it is, for whom, why they should care) to least important. Here's where your improvement potential lies 👇 To understand what exactly you need to improve (and how) answer this questions: "How can I make copy, design, and user experience better communicate that my services satisfy the main decision criteria my prospects use to decide whom to hire?" Not sure what those decision criteria are? You can learn this (and a ton of other useful things that help you get more clients though your website) in my [Business Soul Searching course](=.TVwSFFPUSHdHidZ0dNRRzoSDaU-uflGblzHpQJ15AKo). =.mdpmWUXzS7PlB9Mlb75fzkauwAZCGc6UY2pQuRZYW1I This would be all from me for the week. This email may contain typos, and I'm fine with them because cloning humans is, unfortunately, still impossible. Spending more time proofreading my emails would mean I'll have to share fewer tips with you. And sharing more and better tips is more important to me than sharing tips that are grammatically perfect. I hope that's fine with you, too.
