People will be casting their ballots for elections across the nation. Some people will vote as soon as next week through early voting. Our gun safety majority in the Senate hangs on by a thread. We currently have a House of Representatives led by a Speaker who refuses to bring any gun safety legislation to the floor for a vote. The race between Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is neck-and-neck. If we were to slow down in our work to take back the House, maintain our Senate majority, and elect Vice President Harris, the results we wake up to on November 6th could be catastrophic for our movement for gun safety. We’re sorry to put that thought in your head, but it’s true. We’re so proud to have endorsed 183 candidates so far this cycle, including gun safety champions running for state legislatures, US Senate, and the US House. Not to mention Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz and in their bid for the White House! All the candidates we’ve endorsed have pledged to do the work to keep our communities safe from gun violence. In the home stretch of this election, we’re working hard to get out the vote for gun safety champions up and down the ballot. But we need the resources to continue in this important work.
