While I was having breakfast this morning, I found myself thinking of the GIFFORDS community and wanted to reach out to you personally. Thirteen years ago, I was shot in the head while meeting with constituents in Tucson, Arizona. I’ve been in recovery every single day since then. I often think about my recovery the same way I think about our movement to end gun violence: some days are more difficult than others. It hasn’t been an easy journey for me, but even on my darkest days, I’ve refused to give up hope. Today, I encourage you to take a moment to renew your hope that we can and will have a future someday where the threat of gun violence no longer looms over us. I know this work isn’t easy, {NAME}. But the fights worth having rarely are. That’s why we can never, ever give up. Today is a very important day for GIFFORDS PAC. At midnight tonight, we will close the books on our June FEC fundraising deadline. After this deadline, our fundraising numbers will be reported publicly. We need to be sure we have a strong showing in this report with both the amount we raise and the number of individual contributions we receive. I know that our gun safety movement is stronger than ever before, {NAME}. Now is our chance to prove it to our gun lobby adversaries who say otherwise. [So please, can I ask you to chip in $3 to GIFFORDS PAC today? Your support will make a world of difference in reaching our end-of-quarter goals.]( If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly: [Donate $3]( [Donate $25]( [Donate $50]( [Donate $100]( [Donate $250]( [Other Amount]( Thank you for everything that you do for the gun safety movement. With courage, Gabby Giffords [CONTRIBUTE]( Paid For By Giffords PAC; not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee. www.Giffords.org This email was sent to [{EMAIL}](#). We try to send only the most important information and opportunities to participate via email, but click [here]( if you'd like to unsubscribe. Giffords PAC was started to support elected officials who step up to fight the gun violence epidemic. Thank you for standing with Gabby and the Giffords team.
