It's 4/20 🍃💨 -- (Clayton, the kid who helps me post my TikToks tells me that's how you say ganja on the internet.. Who knew?) I was thinking about how I usually like to spend the day… And if I’m not doing an appearance somewhere (which I am today, in fact... Gonna be at the Mile High Fest in Colorado! Stop by and say "hi" if you're here!) What I most like to do is just relax up on my roof deck with my pipe, some snacks, Shelby, and of course…some great tunes. Whether you smoke the herb, boost yourself with some [Good Vibes]( or even float through the day with some [Cruise Chews]( I thought you might appreciate a soundtrack for your day… Now, I can't think of the green stuff without thinking about the song I listened to while smoking my very first doobie EVER... It was ["Lonely Woman" by Ornette Coleman]( - one of the all time Jazz greats. I listened to that record and I swear I could see the woman standing right in front of me. Great tune! And so I decided to ask around Casa Chong and get the kids to help me put together a 420 Playlist with some of their favorite tunes to listen to in honor of the big day. Now, I can't say each and every one of these songs is a new favorite of Uncle Tommy's. (Heck I bet you can tell just by listening which ones I loved and which ones I just kept 'smiling' through to not hurt anyone's feelings... Hit "reply" and let me know what you think!) - ["Mary Jane" by Rick James]( - gotta admit, this one is pretty funky -- such an up-tempo song for such a chill plant - ["Pass the Dutchie" by Musical Youth]( - fun fact: "dutchie" means "pot", like "cooking pot". The line was originally "pass the kushie" which made it a little clearer what they were talking about... - ["Smoke Two Joints" by Sublime]( - Ok, this one is honestly pretty catchy.... But damn, that's a lotta joints, even for me! - ["Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix]( - can’t forget the classic rock, my man Jimi knows how to set the vibe - ["Legalize It" by Peter Tosh]( - we need a call to action for cannabis legalization, a cause dear to my heart - ["Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die" by Willie Nelson]( - What can I say, I LOVE Willie. (Uncle Willie and I go WAY back... Don't tell him I stole his nickname... shhh) - ["Kaya" by Bob Marley]( - reggae classic from the legendary Bob Marley is all about the joys of Ms. Maryjane - ["Sittin' on The Dock of The Bay" by Otis]( - not exactly a "pot" song... but what else do you think he was doing sitting around on a dock all day? So there you have it, my friends. Hope you enjoy the tunes. They’ll definitely get you in the mood to relax, unwind, and enjoy the sweet, sweet vibes of our favorite plant. Oh and while you're at it, if you need any plant medicine, don't forget we have our 420 sale going on so you can stock up!
