Check it out: [Kansas Wheat]( Now, your Uncle Tommy was born in 1938 up in Canada, so was just a little kid when this picture was taken. And that means (of course) that I wasn't born yesterday. I've seen enough fake posts on social media to not believe everything I read. But after seeing this picture, I went down a bit of a rabbit hole to see if it was true. Apparently, not only did flour mills start printing pretty designs on their sacks just so folks could turn them into clothing for their family... But it even turned into a competition! Mills started seeing who could develop the the prettiest patterns, and there were all kinds of sewing competitions to see who could make the best flour sack dresses. Really, how cool is that, man?! That's what I call spreadin' good vibes and helping your community out during hard times. Any of you older Cousins remember this (or maybe even got dressed in these flour sack clothes)?
