Man, my last email about time speeding up as we get older really struck a chord with you cousins. Here's a few of the many notes you sent back over the last few days Howdy and happy fabulous Friday! So… this phenomenon of time seeming to speed up is fact! I think you hit on the key to slowing it down, albeit in our minds, but hey, that’s where we live. I love having a “next thing” on the calendar to keep me enthusiastic about flipping the page on the fridge. Joelayn O Hey Tommy, you may have heard this, but life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer you get to the end, the faster it goes. Philosophy from a mere 76 Y/O. Patrick C Dear Uncle Tommy, Thank you for this insight. Time HAS felt like it’s speeding up - which feels so unfair at 70 years old when ‘seeing the light at the end of the tunnel’ has such an entirely different meaning to me now! LOL! What Dr. Clark shared with you does have that sense of ‘truthyness’ to it. I’ve been involved in a new project all summer that has stretched time out for me. I’m having a major repair/remodel job going on at my house that has made this summer feel like a year long. I guess all the unfamiliar decisions I’ve had to make and new experiences have done this! I have about another month to go before I can move back home and I can’t wait, but now I see my sense of time has actually been extended, even though it’s in my head, and it’s OK. Also it’s been pretty stressful, but your Cruise Chews have helped tremendously with that! Thanks! Suzanne H It's crazy how universal this feeling is, right? I mean, I swear, just yesterday I was complaining about the summer heat, and now we're knee-deep in pumpkin spice season, man. By the way, can we all agree the whole pumpkin spice craze has gotten a bit out of control? Seems like it's everywhere these days. Donuts, lattes, candles... I've even seen pumpkin spiced pot (I'm usually pretty adventurous, but I'm gonna go ahead and skip that one, man) You know, I was noodling around on Google the other day (man... that came out dirtier sounding than I meant it, but I'm leaving it in.) Anyway, I ended up on this article about pumpkin spice, and I think there might be another "spicy" reason so many of the suits at these big companies are leaning so heavy into it. Get this - apparently, when pumpkin spice teams up with a touch of lavender, it works like... an aphrodisiac! And for the fellas, no less! Check out t[his article here for more](. Maybe that's why pumpkin spice has taken over the world? Makes me wonder if that's why I feel so warm and fuzzy when Shelby's making her famous pumpkin bread... What's your take? Are you jonesing all year, waiting for pumpkin spice everything to come back around? Or are you biting your nails all October and November waiting for it to go back into hibernation? Keep on keepin' on, Peace and love, [Tommy Signature] Tommy Chong P.S. Don't forget about our PARTY sale!
