They've silenced speech, fired teachers, kidnapped migrants, subjugated women and attacked the Special Olympics. They've made it harder to vote and easier to buy assault weapons. They've sold fear and panic when it comes to crime, but calm and indifference when the threat is greenhouse gasses destroying our planet. They've fanned the flames of culture war to distract from the fact that blue states have lower murder rates, better education and health care outcomes, and higher GDPs. My PAC, the Campaign for Democracy, will tell the truth. We are going to go on the road and on offense — in red states too — and take the fight to statehouses, local communities, and electoral battlegrounds to save our democracy.
