Hey {NAME}, If you've been on my list for some time, you might have noticed fewer emails from me in

Hey {NAME}, If you've been on my list for some time, you might have noticed fewer emails from me in the past few weeks. The reason? Well... There are multiple minor ones, like lower overall energy due to sweltering heat, worse sleep quality than usual, and the typical "Summer Slowdown"... But there's also one MAJOR reason that I haven't talked about much before: You see... I recently joined a high-level coaching program with someone who I consider to be the best in the world at what he does... And -- as part of that process -- I've "zoomed out" of my business a bit... And probably spent about 15-20 hours these last few weeks alone just THINKING about higher-level strategy. Things like: - What do I really WANT? - Who do I REALLY want to serve? - How can I give that Target Audience more (and better) value? - What offers can I create to get them better results faster? - How should I price and position these offers? - And how can I achieve all this without working more than 40hrs/week? Things that ultimately move the needle, and create long-lasting CHANGE (in both myself and the people I help) Then... I also stumbled on Dan Sullivan's excellent new book, ["10x is Easier than 2x: How World-Class Entrepreneurs Achieve More by Doing Less"](=)... Which has already been yet another yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge "AHA" moment for me, even though I just started listening to it 3-4 days ago. The "Big Idea" in Dan's book is the following: Getting 10x results is actually just as easy (or easier) than getting 2x results. How come, you say? Because -- when you commit to such a big goal, 10x -- you can't just work more or harder to reach that goal (like with setting a 2x goal)... Instead, you are FORCED to reinvent yourself... Ruthlessly cut out the 80% of your life that doesn't move you closer towards that goal... Build new systems that unlock more leverage... And even change your identity to ALLOW yourself that big leap in growth! (even when it's super scary or triggers all sorts of limiting beliefs) That's how you consistently 10x. And the combination of this new coaching program I'm part of + Dan's book + the birth of Helena all made me realize that I've been stuck in "2x thinking" for far too long. Yes... I've had some solid progress... Changed hundreds of lives in the process... And built a business that gave me good enough results... But -- because of always thinking in (safer) 2x terms -- I've been consistently "shooting myself in the foot" and limiting my own growth... ...despite putting in pretty much the same amount of time that would be needed for a 10x strategy. And... you know what, {NAME}? Looking back, the reason why I was limiting myself to 2x thinking makes TOTAL sense: Here's just a brief list: --Buried imposter syndrome and perfectionism (despite working on eliminating these for DECADES at this point!) --Fear of failure and rejection (it's like going after girls who are a 6 when you could just as easily go for 10s) --A subconscious fear of losing friends & family members by growing much faster than them and growing apart (different beliefs, identities, etc) --Afraid of letting more money into my life after a certain ceiling (which can create all sorts of friction with existing friends, family members, or spouse... or just f*ck with your inner Identity, that lots of people aren't ready for. Or as Biggie would say, "Mo Money, Mo Problems". WORD) --Not really "seeing" myself as a really successful entrepreneur (just a somewhat successful one... which -- in my mind -- came with fewer risks and it's just safer in general) --And I could go on and on and on. Notice anything specific about all these objections, {NAME}? Anything that ties them together? Go ahead, I'll wait. ............................. .................... ........... ....... ..... .... ... .. . . . (take your time, no pressure) ............................. .................... ........... ....... ..... .... ... .. . . . (seriously, think it through. It's more powerful if you realize it yourself) ............................. .................... ........... ....... ..... .... ... .. . . . Fear. Our good 'ol long-time friend (and foe), Fear. When I originally wrote out the list above, I was forced to realize that all my objections... All my so-called "Reasons Why" for not thinking in 10x were grounded in Fear and Anxiety. (and I'm capitalizing the first letters because -- in my mind -- they ARE kind of like distinct entities that live within us) And I also realized: "Going forward, do I really want to let Fear and Anxiety guide my decisions, and command my life?" HELL NO! And... despite my first reaction being something like: "F*CK YOU Fear... and F*CK YOU Anxiety... leave me the hell alone already!!!!!!!!"... The decades of therapy, self-development, bodywork, and know-how in Psychology reminded me that... YOU CANNOT ERADICATE FEAR AND ANXIETY FROM YOUR LIFE. You cannot just "Delete" this part of yourself. You can only learn HOW to accept them... Live with them... And move out of their way when they try to shoot you in the foot (with the best intentions, from their point of view) Because if you can shift your relationship with them from combative... To something like: "I understand where you're coming from, and I accept you for who you are, but I can't let you control my life"... ...they will no longer have power over you! And you'll suddenly be ready to allow yourself to think in 10x terms. So yeah... That's the message of this email, I think. The so-called punchline. *** Talk about a random brain dump, am I right? 😄 Because believe it or not, when I sat down to write this email, I had NO IDEA where it's gonna go... But here we are... And I hope you got some value in inspiration from it. If you did... all I ask is that you hit reply and tell me which part resonated with you the most. There's no "hidden agenda" with this. I just genuinely want to know... especially after sharing all these vulnerable thoughts and feelings with you.
