I've never really been a natural "digital nomad". You know... A person that travels the world, visits exotic countries, and works from his laptop (preferably from the beach)... While sipping on Margaritas all day and constantly posting on Instagram about his "freedom". Why? I dunno, to be honest... â Sounds pretty exciting, if you think about it ð â Working from your laptop, on the beach, and growing a successful online business... That's the dream, right?! Well... During most of my last Summer, I've been traveling pretty much non-stop to all sorts of cool places: I spent 10 days in Malta (mostly snorkeling)... Then 4 days at Hungary's Lake Balaton - the largest lake in Central Europe - with 5 other guys from a mastermind I'm part of... Then 5 days in Berlin because of a wedding... Then, after a few days of rest, 5 more days in Rovinj, Croatia with my parents and my wife... And finally, I've also been to a RIDICULOUSLY beautiful place called the "Amalfi Coast" in Southern Italy. I encourage you to look it up on Google... this place is seriously stunning... I mean... here's the casual view from my terrace... â It's insane! Anyway... Even though I'm in this place that's probably as close to Paradise as it gets... The perfect digital nomad spot... The place that's arguably among the TOP 10 most Instagram-able spots on Earth... I find it extremely hard to "Work from the beach on my laptop and grow my business". It's just not the type of thing you want to do in a place like this! Sure, I do think about long-term strategic stuff... (things that Ian Stanley calls "Money Later Activities")... And I even do a few 1-on-1 coaching/consulting sessions with a few people... But, in general, doing complex things like running & growing a business requires a different environment... and a proper office with a solid desk with a comfortable chair, a big-ass monitor, and consistently showing up every single day. â That's how 90% of entrepreneurs build their business in real life. â Not by "magically" getting inspired and creating something grand on a beach somewhere in Bali... But by consistently showing up every single day in their boring office... and doing the work. In reality, that's what it takes. And sure... There are always entrepreneurs out there who are crushing it from the beach, working only 2 hours a day... But that's more like the exception, rather than the norm. And if you're just getting started... Or you're just building your first business... â Don't go chasing pipe dreams because a few Insta-famous people are telling you to do so... â (while selling you their "0 to $100k in 3 months" course, btw) Instead, slow down, get yourself a nice cup of coffee (or your favorite drink)... And get to work, step-by-step. I'm not gonna lie... it's going to be a bumpy road from time to time... But if you show up consistently, you'll get there, no doubt. Hope you've found this random rant helpful! Enjoy your Sunday! -Csaba â P.S. - Speaking of consistently showing up every day... It's actually way easier than you think! And, believe it or not, it doesn't even take that long to become a trusted expert in your field, even if you're a total beginner. And to prove it to you, I recently sat down with my buddy, Jacob Suckow of "The Great Escape Podcast" where I explained exactly why it takes so much less than we think to actually become an expert in your industry. Plus, we also talked about everything from building a name for yourself online... To why your customers don't care if you're NOT the NUMBER ONE person in your industry. If you're a copywriter, business owner, or marketing expert... you're gonna love it! â[Here's where you can listen to the full episode.
