Hey {NAME}, â[Next Tuesday, I'm co-hosting a free, LIVE 60-minute workshop]( with my friend, Bradley Morris, on how you can build a thriving, authentic online business WITHOUT relying on social media. During the workshop, we'll cover 19 proven, effective & fulfilling Relationships-Based Marketing Strategies that can help you grow your audience, impact, and income (without needing social media)... While freeing up your time, attention & creativity to enjoy more of the things you love doing. I first met Bradley around 6 months ago, when the leader of a mastermind group I'm part of introduced us. We immediately hit it off... And realized that our core approach to business is quite similar. We're both huge fans of authentic, elegant, relationship-based marketing. So it's no surprise that we came up with the idea of doing a guest workshop in front of each others' audiences. He would do one for my audience first... and then we'd switch roles. Fast forward a few weeks... And when I shared my plans for the guest training I could do for his audience (roughly based on my book, The Rapid Lead Activator... which you're probably already familiar with)... He sent me a reply that.... honestly, left me flabbergasted! Here's what Bradley sent me: "For your workshop, it looks really great. I especially like the email sequence.
I think if you focus on that and give them lots of time to work on the elements, so they walk away with an outline, that could be super valuable.
My only caution is -- a lot of sales marketing can be dehumanizing... treating people like 'leads' instead of humans.
I just need to be assured that you have a heart-centered approach when teaching marketing -- otherwise my audience won't resonate and will probably get pissed off.
I have done so many workshops over the years about getting away from douchebag tactics.
So I just want to share that caution, so you can assure me of your methodology.
It was mostly the "Imprinting" pieces that had my hackles go up. To me, that sounds like manipulating the audience to feel more connected to you.
Perhaps you can share more?" Frankly, I was shocked! Why? Because nobody's ever "accused" me of using douchebag tactics before. Especially since my whole shtick is about ELEGANT, AUTHENTIC marketing. Do I sometimes use certain tactics that *some* people in my audience would consider "aggressive" (like sending multiple emails on the last day of a launch)? Absolutely! That's because I 100% believe in what I'm selling... and all the data shows that most people wait until the very last moment to buy something. (I even wrote a dedicated email about why you kind of have to do this [HERE)](=)â But that's not a douchebag tactic. Purposefully misleading people with your claims? Selling an underwhelming product while hyping it up like crazy? Lying in your marketing? Those are douchebag tactics. So I was super surprised that Bradley got this impression from my presentation deck. And, to "clear my name", here's the reply I sent him: "I appreciate you bringing that up.
In fact, I like it because it shows that you REALLY care about your audience, which I can totally resonate with.
You're actually the first person who said this system sounds potentially douchey / bro-like... especially since most people who follow my work know that one of the key things I talk about is "elegant marketing" (so doing it in a non-sleazy way).
Instead of telling you that I AM heart-centered, why don't I show you
â[Here's the email I wrote for my audience today](=), which talks about Fear (including some of my fears).
And here's my main landing page + current front-end funnel where you can sign up and see what types of emails I send:
I especially talk about treating people like PEOPLE in Email #1:

Csaba" A few hours later, he replied: "This is great. I appreciate the answer. I am a yes, let's do it! I think the focus on the email series will be super valuable for my people. " Huuuuh.... Faith in Csaba restored ð Now... What's my point with this story? Why did I dedicate a whole email to it? Simple: because I wanted you to SEE what type of person Bradley is. I mean, sure... â[At first glance, he kind of looks like a Viking berserker...](â (you'll see when you click on the link above ;) But he's got a heart of gold and genuinely believes in heart-centered marketing.
