the best way I know of to get what you want in business (and life)  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ {NAME}, Ever felt bad after coming back to work after an extended holiday? Because that's what I'm currently feeling. Maybe you too can relate. Let me know if the following sounds familiar: There's a project you've been working on for a while. Weeks, months, maybe even years. And due to something - shifting priorities, family pressure, feeling overwhelmed - you take an extended 2-3-4 week holiday. In the beginning, it feels refreshing. Finally, you no longer have to deal with all that work BS. But then, as the days pass by, you start to miss your entrepreneurial work. "The Work". You keep thinking about all the various things you left unfinished... And try to weave together all the core components of whatever you've been building. The Big Idea. The sales page. The Primary Promise. The unique mechanism. The perfect Offer. All the things that are needed to really crush this. And then... as the days go by, things start to fall apart. Your "mental map" becomes ever more blurry... And then, eventually, it starts fading away almost like a distant memory. All your carefully crafted web of sales arguments and campaign elements become even blurrier... And you're left with a general idea and memory of what you wanted to do... But it's nowhere near as sharp and high-resolution as it was before you went on holiday. And as a result, you start feeling less confident about yourself... And you start feeling that dreaded Impostor Syndrome creeping back into your mind. "What if it's a mistake?" "What if I'll fail and the campaign will bomb?" "What if I lost my edge? As these questions creep deeper and deeper into your mind, you start doubting yourself even more. "RESISTANCE" kicks in... And tries to do EVERYTHING in its power to keep you from succeeding! It's a particularly nasty beast that makes your life miserable. But... What if there's a silver lining? What if... Resistance is actually good for you? Could that be possible? Well... here's another way of looking at it: Resistance's sole job is to test you and your willingness to do something. Yes... it's intimidating and annoying as hell... But it's there to strengthen your soul and ultimately make you into a stronger, better, more resilient, and -- believe it or not -- happier person. That is. IF you can face it in the eye and tell it: "Screw you, I'm doing it anyway!" It's just like facing terrifying images and hallucinations during psychedelic experiences. If you've done shrooms or Ayahuasca before, you know what I'm talking about. And you also know that -- the more you try to run from your inner demon -- the more it will chase you. And it WILL defeat you... if you let it. However... If you face it in the eye, stand your ground, and "surrender" to its power, it WILL let you go. Why? Because it feeds on YOU trying to run away from it. It feeds on your FEAR and CONTROL. Let go of control... and it lets go of you. I know this sounds weird, but that's how it works. And the same is true for "The Resistance" in your work (and life in general). It's immensely powerful, yes... But all its power comes from YOU giving it power. By being afraid of it. (you shouldn't be) By trying to "control" it. (you can't) And by trying to "ignore" it (you also can't) So what should you do to defeat "The Resistance"? Simple: Just accept it's an inseparable part of you... look it in the eyes... and say: "Not today, motherfucker" And then continue your work, one small step at a time. Even if it feels like shit. Even if it feels like you aren't making progress. And even if you feel like you're the biggest fraud in the world. Just do it. (either Nike or Shia LeBeouf style!) That's the secret to keeping "The Resistance" at bay day after day. Tapping into the "Hero archetype" that defeats the agent of chaos time after time again... Lowering entropy and restoring order so that the creative process can continue to flow... And your unique message can reach the people it needs to reach... And create profound change in their lives. That's my message for you today. Vive Le Resistance! -Csaba P.S. -- To kick my own Resistance to the curb... this Wednesday, I'll be launching a brand-new offer on building a responsive list of high-intent leads.
