We’re the Bailon brothers, Cheston and John, from the Navajo Nation and Kewa Pueblo. We’ve known Ruben since he joined our unit in the Marine Corps back in 2004, and we deployed together to Iraq. [ Ruben wih his unit]( We had to grow up fast on that deployment. We lost good friends together. And over the 20 years since we met, we’ve become brothers. We know Ruben not only as a friend, but as a warrior and a servant to his family and his community. We swore an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies when we signed up for the Marine Corps.
