Secure Jobs, Better Pay More changes under the Secure Jobs, Better Pay amendment to the Fair Work Act took effect this month. From 6 June 2023, changes took effect relating to: - [flexible working arrangements]( - [unpaid parental leave](, including [extending parental leave]( and [referring disputes to the Fair Work Commission]( - [agreement making]( and increased access to multi-employer bargaining. Paid family and domestic violence leave for small businesses All employees in the [Fair Work system]( (including part-time and casual employees) will soon be entitled to 10 days of [paid family and domestic violence leave]( in a 12-month period. The [new entitlement]( will become available to employees of [small business employers]( (employers with less than 15 employees on 1 February 2023), from 1 August 2023. Employees of non-small business employers have been able to access the leave from 1 February 2023. Employees are entitled to the full 10 days upfront, meaning they don’t have to accumulate it over time.
