Some changes began in December 2023, while others take effect this year and in 2025. What’s changed The new ‘Closing Loopholes’ laws have made changes to the Fair Work Act. This includes in relation to: - labour hire workers - criminalising wage underpayments - casual employment  - independent contractors  - unions and registered organisations - enterprise bargaining  - the right to disconnect.  A summary of each change and start date (including a new visual timeline) is available at [Closing Loopholes](. We’ve updated most of our information and resources on changes that have already started.
