Whatâs cookinâ, [good lookin]â? Whether itâs [beans, greens, potatoes, or tomatoes], weâre dishing out some philosophical takes on the news for World Philosophy Day. French Enlightenment philosopher [Voltaire], a staunch advocate for the separation of church and state, would be all â[I Kant even]â about this Georgia bill to [ban Muslim head coverings], and the Trump administrationâs proposed [Muslim registry]. Greek philosopher Hypatia, who once said, âTo teach superstitions as truths is a most terrible thing,â wouldnât have been down with the [proliferation of fake news on Facebook]. As it turns out, [Ben Franklin might not have been as into privacy] as we originally thoughtâcould this innovative Founding Father have been the type to rock [Snapchat spectacles]? We could definitely see American activist and academic [Angela Davis] throwing some serious love behind [these Afro-Mexicans] fighting to reclaim their identity. And with [only the first 100 days of Trumpâs presidency] to save democracy as we know it, what would the great Jamaican philosopher Bob Marley have to say? [Get up, stand up]. â[Anne Branigin]

LET'S TALK ABOUT RADICAL GLAM
Rio de Janeiroâs Kolor Art Collective highlights the [barrage of systemic ills black women in Brazil face]âfrom police brutality and domestic abuse to cultural stereotyping and limited access to health care. Its photo series, â[Zones],â packs provocative social commentary with a â[glam-trash aesthetic].â
