Don't miss out on moving your skills forward.... ?awt_a=AK8l&awt_l=GQL63&awt_m=3klDih1W1lZob8l Moving Forward through the Summer... Hello, Paul Kirtley here with a Frontier Bushcraft course and expedition update for you. First of all - a place on our sought-after Missinaibi River Wilderness Canoe Expedition has come up due to one of the participants having an injury and withdrawing from this year's trip. This trip was previously fully booked since last October, so it's a great chance to jump on a wonderful wilderness canoe journey if you have the time and funds available. Find out more [here]( Second, we still have availability on some UK courses this summer... In particular, check out the challenging yet rewarding [Intermediate Wilderness Bushcraft course]( for taking your bushcraft skills and knowledge beyond a foundational level. I should also highlight we will be running the [Outdoor Emergency Preparedness course]( next month. This long-planned but relatively new course was very well received by participants last year. Again, I will be joined by Adam Gent of Real First Aid to teach this comprehensive 7 day course. It is designed to give you the tools and techniques to deal with adverse situations, as well as frameworks and heuristics for avoiding them in the first place. Third, some comments on 2025 courses as I have been asked about these in person a few times recently... While teaching axe techniques on our Expedition Canoeing Skills courses in the Lake District, I was asked about dates for the 2025 Woodcrafter course; some participants were keen to book onto this popular axe and campcraft course, to take their axe skills further. So, I have already blocked out a date in my schedule for April. We will again be running only one Woodcrafter course next year and the dates have been added to the Frontier Bushcraft website. You can book [here](. Also, I will be running an Elementary Wilderness Bushcraft course in late May 2025. This isn't the only Elementary course that the Frontier team will be running next year but it is the only one I will be leading myself. The dates for this course are already on the website and you can [book this course here](. Other 2025 courses will be added to the website later this summer, as per our usual schedule for timetabling the next year's courses. Remaining availability for our 2024 courses and trips is summarised in below. Thanks for reading. I and the Frontier Bushcraft team hope to see you soon and help you keep your outdoor skills moving forwards... Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
