See how Anthony uses fitness to fuel his career and inspire his community. [Flex your pride]( Representation is a marathon not a sprint As we continue to celebrate Pride and the strength of our diverse Free Athlete community and all their flexes this month, we are thrilled to have the privilege of sharing the inspiring story of how fitness has been a powerful force in the life of Anthony as an LGBTQ+ coach and athlete. Breaking bad stereotypes As a skinny kid who came from a conservative family in Mexico where coming out was daunting, Anthony used sports and fitness as an outlet for feeling good, pushing himself to get stronger, and breaking the misconception that “gay people are not good at sports.” And his dedication paid off with landing a coveted spot on his college basketball team. “ “I was bullied and made fun of because of my lack of muscle, so I started working out consistently.” ”   Breaking the mold After college, Anthony changed gears and became a marathon runner and personal trainer and never looked back. He has since run 9 marathons and now works as a running coach at the University of Texas, which has allowed him to visibly represent the LGBTQ+ community and motivate people of all kinds to feel represented and included in sports – something he also loves about the Free Athlete community. “ “Perhaps the greatest benefits of Freeletics are for those athletes who feel intimidated or insecure to go to a gym...The app brings the gym to you and allows you to find your community online.” ” [Start your journey]( The Coach loved by coaches If you’re still considering Freeletics, take it from Anthony... “Do your homework,” he says but, “you will soon find out that Freeletics is the best option.” Why? It’s flexible, it fits your life, and it’s comprehensive, offering great ways to complement and elevate his running performance! And it can for you too! “ “I believe anyone, regardless of their level of experience in fitness, can benefit from the clear guidance, comprehensive workouts and adjustable levels of intensity that Freeletics offers. Even though I am also a certified personal trainer and coach, Freeletics helps me explore the world of calisthenics and remain accountable.” ” [Get your Coach](       [Instagram]( [Facebook]( [YouTube]( [TikTok](www.tiktok.com/@freeletics?lid=x90qpbthj2x8) [Blog]( [Forum]( You receive this email because you opted in at [Freeletics.com]( and decided to become truly fit.
