We. Go. As I type this, kickoff is minutes away from the last game of this season. And what a season it's been. I said that last year and I'll probably say it next year. As I look back over this past year, my overwhelming thought is the same as last year: Gratitude. I'm grateful for folks like you spending time with us and sharing your season. It's why we do what we do. And our plan is to keep doing this for a good long while. We'll continue to do all we can to help you have more fun with fantasy football, make better decisions, save time and worry less. Enjoy the game and I hope all the bounces go your way. Let's Go, J Inside This Issue [] - [DAL: Dak Prescott may receive extension soon](#article-1) - [LVR: Davante Adams not available](#article-2) - [PIT: Ryan Tannehill may be option](#article-3) - [NE: Mac Jones not expected to return](#article-4) - [NYG: Daniel Jones on track for opener](#article-5) - [MIN: Minnesota hopes to keep Kirk Cousins](#article-6) - [DAL: CeeDee Lamb looking for lucrative deal](#article-7) - [DEN: Denver, Russell Wilson may talk contract](#article-8) [] 1. DAL: Dak Prescott may receive extension soon [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott could reach an agreement on a contract extension with the Cowboys before the start of free-agency, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Our view: Prescott is expected to be one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL when the extension is done. The Cowboys are also in line to give WR CeeDee Lamb a new contract, so they're going to spend plenty of money on their offense in the near future. Right now at $40 million annually, Prescott ranks no10 in the league. We imagine his new contract could pay him $50-plus million annually. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. LVR: Davante Adams not available [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams will not be made available in a trade this offseason, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Our view: The Raiders are setting things up the best they can for the veteran receiver. Adams said he is happy that the Raiders hired OC Luke Getsy because he worked with Getsy when both were with the Green Bay Packers. Now, we'll see if they try to upgrade the quarterback position at some point this offseason. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. PIT: Ryan Tannehill may be option [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Tennessee Titans impending free-agent QB Ryan Tannehill may receive interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers if he tests the free-agent market, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Our view: Tannehill could beat out Kenny Pickett if the Steelers add him. Pickett, a first-round pick just a couple of years ago, has not been that impressive in two pro seasons. Tannehill is not the player he used to be, but his valuable starting experience should earn him a chance to start somewhere else in 2024. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. NE: Mac Jones not expected to return [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]() New England Patriots QB Mac Jones is a candidate to be traded in the coming weeks and is likely to be playing elsewhere next season, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Our view: Jones has not been a good starting option, but his first-round pedigree should get him another chance to start. He's not going to get handed a job, but if/when the Patriots move on we could see Jones in the mix. The Patriots have the no3 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, and they could be in line for someone like Drake Maye (North Carolina) or Jayden Daniels (LSU). [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. NYG: Daniel Jones on track for opener [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() New York Giants QB Daniel Jones (knee) is expected to be ready for the start of the 2024 regular season, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Our view: Good news for Jones, but the Giants may add a quarterback to compete with him for the starting job. Reports have surfaced indicating the Giants may add a veteran in free agency to push Jones. There are also rumblings they could instead try to get another quarterback for the roster in the 2024 NFL draft. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. MIN: Minnesota hopes to keep Kirk Cousins [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins is a player the Vikings hope to re-sign this offseason, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Our view: The Vikings want to keep Cousins, but the price has to be right. Cousins should have plenty of interest on the open market, and the Vikings have to think about a future after (or without) Cousins. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. DAL: CeeDee Lamb looking for lucrative deal [Source: The Athletic - Jon Machota](=) Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb said he hopes to become the highest-paid receiver or one the highest-paid receivers in the NFL with his next contract. Our view: Lamb is deserving of that price tag. He's arguably the best receiver in the league, and soon he will be compensated as such. Lamb is set to play on his fifth-year option with a cap hit of $17.9 million. Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is the highest-paid receiver in terms of annual average salary at $30 million. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. DEN: Denver, Russell Wilson may talk contract [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson may talk with the team about the possibility of re-negotiating his contract this offseason, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Our view: There's still a chance Wilson stays in Denver. He'll need to re-work his contract, mainly because his 2025 salary becomes fully guaranteed five days into the new league year. If released, the Broncos would have around $84 million to eat in dead money they could spread over two years. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and we'll see you tomorrow with a wrap-up email and then we'll be taking a little break. You don't need to do a thing. Just sit tight and we'll keep you covered. Enjoy the game and I hope things go your way. Peace, J [avatar] Joe Bryant Guide [[twitter]]([[facebook]](=)[[discord]]([[youtube]]([[instagram]]( [Footballguys - Have Fun And Win Your League](=) Written By Joe Bryant.
