KC: Jerick McKinnon designated to return [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Kansas City Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) was designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Feb. 3. Our view: A 21-day window is now open for McKinnon, but he's got a week before the Super Bowl. If he's healthy enough during the week of practice to get activated, then McKinnon could be another weapon for the Chiefs in the big game against the 49ers. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. IND: Michael Pittman may be tag candidate [Source: ColtsWire - Cody Manning]( Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent WR Michael Pittman Jr. likely will be a candidate for the franchise tag if the two sides are not able to reach a long-term contract, in the opinion of ColtsWire's Cody Manning. Our view: Pittman is set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2024, but we don't think he gets to the open market. Instead, the Colts should work diligently to get Pittman a contract that makes him one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL. We'd imagine Pittman will get a contract that pays him more than $25 million annually. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. LAR: Tyler Higbee may miss start of season [Source: RamsWire - Cameron DaSilva](=) Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee (knee) could start the 2024 season on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list because of the torn anterior cruciate ligament and torn medial collateral ligament he suffered during the season. Our view: Zero surprise here. Higbee suffered a torn MCL and ACL in the Rams' loss to the Lions in the Wild Card Round. He's likely to be on the PUP list to begin the 2024 season, which keeps him out of action for the first six weeks of the year. The Rams can turn to Davis Allen (2023 fifth-round pick) to do more this offseason while Higbee misses time. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. NE: Kendrick Bourne hopes to be ready for opener [Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss]() New England Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne (knee) said he is ahead of schedule in his recovery and believes he will be ready for the start of the 2024 regular season. Our view: Bourne suffered a torn ACL in the team's Week 8 loss to the Dolphins, and he's been on the road to recovery ever since. He will be brought along cautiously this offseason, and there's a chance he could participate at some point in training camp. His status for the beginning of the 2024 season is up in the air, and he's unlikely to be at full strength until halfway through this season. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. LAR: Brycen Hopkins may not return [Source: RamsWire - Cameron DaSilva](=) Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent TE Brycen Hopkins probably will not re-sign with the Rams this offseason, in the opinion of RamsWire's Cameron DaSilva. Our view: Hopkins has not done much during his pro career, and he's only snared 13 passes for 196 yards in four pro seasons.
