BUF: Joe Brady to keep offensive coordinator job [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Buffalo Bills interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady has been named the team's official offensive coordinator, according to sources. Our view: Brady did a good job with QB Josh Allen, and the Bills want to keep that forward momentum going. We'll see what kind of weapons they put around Allen, as there are questions about some of their wide receivers. There's no doubt that 2024 is a make-or-break year for HC Sean McDermott, and we're honestly a little surprised Buffalo didn't move on from him after yet another playoff loss to the Chiefs. He's kind of like the Bills version of John Fox with the Broncos; good enough to turn it around, not good enough to win it all. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. ATL: Atlanta hires Zac Robinson [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Los Angeles Rams pass-game coordinator Zac Robinson is being hired as offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, according to sources Saturday, Jan. 27. Our view: This is what's called a win-win situation. Robinson is on the fast track to be a head coach, and he might be one sooner than some think. For now, he gets to take over an offense that features a ton of weapons like WR Drake London, TE Kyle Pitts, RBs Bijan Robinson, and Tyler Allgeier. If the Falcons can land the right quarterback, Robinson should be quite successful with this promotion. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. NFL: Bill Belichick biding his time? [Source: CBSSports.com - Jonathan Jones]() Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is unlikely to be hired for one of the remaining head coach vacancies, but he's expected to have interest in coaching in 2025 when more opportunities become available, according to sources Saturday, Jan. 27. Our view: Belichick may have to sit out this coaching cycle. The Falcons did not hire him, although things seemed like a go just a couple of weeks ago. The Chargers did not hire him, although he was rumored to be a front-runner for that job when he stepped away from the Patriots. There's a non-zero percent chance that Belichick is done as a head coach. He could be back on the sidelines soon, but he's not just going to take any job - nor should he as one of the league's best to ever wear a headset and run a team. [Back to Top](#top)
[] 4. PHI: Vic Fangio officially named DC [Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com]( The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the hiring of former Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio as their new defensive coordinator Saturday, Jan. 27. Our view: Well, that didn't take long. Fangio just 'mutually agreed to part ways' with the Dolphins, and most thought it was so he could pursue the Eagles' defensive coordinator position. He's got family in the area, and Fangio will now be tasked with turning around a defense that is not what it used to be. The Eagles collapsed in 2023 and were bounced from the postseason with ease. Fangio is one of the best DCs in the NFL, so they could make a deeper run - perhaps even back to the Super Bowl - in 2024. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. ARI: James Conner tough to bring down [Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra]() Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner ranked third among running backs with 60 forced missed tackles in 2023, and his 3.9 yards after contact per carry led the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus. Our view: Conner is at his best when he can get through contact, something he does regularly. He had a banner year in 2023, topping 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his career, and he ranked fourth in the NFL with 80.0 rushing yards per game. With one more year on his contract, Conner should continue to be a big part of what the Cardinals do on offense in 2024. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
