[DET - RB Ameer Abdullah to get at least 200 touches?]() Source: Detroit Lions.com - Tim Twentyman Tim Twentyman, of official team site DetroitLions.com, wrote that the plan going into last season according to team GM Bob Quinn was for running back [Ameer Abdullah](=) to get "at least 200 touches" as a runner. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Quinn has reiterated that Abdullah is still the starter, but Twentyman reminded us that Theo Riddick will still get his share of reps and that Abdullah "isn't expected to get a whole lot of goal line carries". Abdullah's upside is limited in nonPPR leagues, and even in PPR leagues he probably doesn't have RB1 upside, which makes his mid-round ADP accurate. Hilton not sweating QB Andrew Luck](=) Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams Indianapolis Colts WR [T.Y. Hilton](=) said he doesn't expect it to take long for he and QB [Andrew Luck](=) (shoulder) to find their rhythm. 'For him, the main thing is to just get healthy and we'll pick up where we left off,' Hilton said. 'Two days back-to-back is all we need.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hilton is going around the 1-2 turn in most PPR leagues, and he earned the spot near the top of the second tier of WR1s with a strong year despite Luck playing through his shoulder injury last year. [LAC - TE Hunter Henry the total package](=) Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Curtis Crabtree Los Angeles Chargers TE [Hunter Henry](=)'s has rare awareness and ball skills and is poised for a long career, according to tight ends coach John McNulty. 'You don't have to spell everything out A-Z for him,' McNulty said. 'He can catch the ball that gets in on him fast, and he makes the contested catches with big, strong hands.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Henry isn't the most physically talented tight end and he'll share with Antonio Gates this year, but he could eventually be a Jason Witten type for the Chargers. [CLE - David Njoku impressing](=) Source: ClevelandBrowns.com - Patrick Maks Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku caught everything thrown his way during OTAs, and QB DeShone Kizer said Njoku is an athletic 'freak' and an easy target to throw to. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Njoku is younger than OJ Howard and has a higher ceiling. He's reminiscent of Vernon Davis after the catch and could emerge as the #1 target for the Browns in the middle of the field right away. Rookie tight ends rarely make an impact in fantasy leagues, but Njoku's chemistry with fellow rookie DeShone Kizer is something to watch in dynasty leagues. [PHI - Greg Ward Jr. putting in the work]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Mike Florio Philadelphia Eagles WR Greg Ward Jr. began his collegiate career as a receiver before making the switch to quarterback, and he said he is finding his groove as he makes the transition back to receiver and 'working on it every single day.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ward is 5'10" 174 and had a very successful career as an option quarterback, but he is probably a practice squad candidate as a receiver unless the Eagles sour on Nelson Agholor or decide to keep six wide receivers. [BAL - RB Lorenzo Taliaferro to see time at fullback]( Source: BaltimoreRavens.com - Ryan Mink Baltimore Ravens RB [Lorenzo Taliaferro](=) is expected to see playing time at fullback this season and should have a similar offensive role to the one FB [Kyle Juszczyk](=) had before signing with the San Francisco 49ers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Taliaferro will be battling with Javorius Allen for one roster spot, or possibly zero if neither impress in camp and the preseason. At one point Taliaferro looked like he had a chance to be the Ravens "big back" but Terrance West passed him decisively while Taliaferro was hurt last year. [MIN - QB Sam Bradford better under pressure]() Source: NFL.com - Gregg Rosenthal Minnesota Vikings QB [Sam Bradford](=) was the most accurate passer under pressure and most accurate on throws over 20 yards last season, according to Pro Football Focus. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bradford performed admirably considering that he was behind one of the worst lines in the league with almost no help from the running game. There are so many quarterbacks that can outperform ADP in drafts this year that Bradford shouldn't be a primary target, but if you get caught on the wrong side of a run, he'll be a good high floor fallback. [NYJ - TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins likes offense](=) Source: NewYorkJets.com - Ethan Greenberg New York Jets TE [Austin Seferian-Jenkins](=) said he knows this year's offense more than past offenses, and he likes how offensive coordinator John Morton is making an emphasis to use the tight end. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Morton is a new offensive coordinator replacing Chan Gailey, who has been good at getting production out of limited talent in the past. Seferian-Jenkins talent has never been in question, but his ability to stay healthy and out of trouble has held him back in the past. The Jets have little experience at wide receiver, but they also have one of the worst quarterback situations in the league. He's only worth draft consideration in deep leagues, but should be on our tight end streamer and waiver wire watch lists. [DET - More two tight end sets for Detroit?]( Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman Detroit Lions TE [Darren Fells](=)' ability to serve as a good blocker on the edge could be of even greater importance to the Lions until OT Taylor Decker can return from a torn labrum, according to DetroitLions.com's Tim Twentyman. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fourth-round pick Michael Roberts is also a good two-way tight end who could help as a blocker while Decker is out. Decker is an a good run blocker, so his loss hurts Ameer Abdullah and the running game. If a tight end is kept in more as a blocker, then there will either be fewer three-wide sets, hurting whoever wins the slot receiver job, or fewer two tight end sets, hurting Eric Ebron's increased opportunity. [OAK - Three OAK linemen could be RT options](=) Source: Raiders.com - Eddie Paskal Oakland Raiders OTs Vadal Alexander, Austin Howard and Marshall Newhouse could all compete for the starting right tackle job during training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] All of them are versatile and the Raiders should benefit from a spirited competition at one of the few positions on their offensive line that doesn't feature a standout player. Howard has the best track record, Alexander is on the upslope side of his career as a second-year player, and Newhouse was once a starting left tackle for Aaron Rodgers. [NE - Several Patriots to compete for No. 3 TE job]( Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss New England Patriots TEs [Matt Lengel](=), James O'Shaughnessy, Jacob Hollister and Sam Cotton likely will compete for the No. 3 tight end job during training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] O'Shaughnessy is the most talented after the catch and the Patriots gave up draft capital to get him this spring. Hollister is a plus athlete with good route running skills who lacks blocking prowess. The Patriots offense is good enough to make any competent player fantasy relevant at tight end if they lose Dwayne Allen or Rob Gronkowski. [NE - Matt Lengel had offseason surgery]( Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss New England Patriots TE [Matt Lengel](=) (finger) had surgery earlier this offseason to repair a finger injury. The Patriots have been taking things slow with Lengel this offseason. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lengel will compete with James O'Shaughnessy among others to be the #3 tight end for the Patriots. This is a role we may revisit during the season since both Rob Gronkowski and Dwayne Allen have been known to miss time with injuries and they are the #1 and #2. [CLE - Shon Coleman could start at tackle](=) Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Dan Labbe Cleveland Browns OT Shon Coleman is expected to have a slight edge over OT Cameron Erving for the team's starting right tackle position entering training camp, in the opinion of The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Dan Labbe. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Erving has been a bust after going in the first round in 2015. He was supposed to replace Alex Mack at center, and eventually moved to guard before getting benched. The team signed JC Tretter to play center in the offseason and Erving moved back to right tackle to end the season last year, so he's now locked back into right tackle, which he indicated was a better position for him during the offseason. The Browns have one of the best lines in the league, with only right tackle a question mark, but one Erving or Coleman could solve. [CLE - OLB Joe Schobert could see fewer snaps](=) Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Dan Labbe Cleveland Browns LB Joe Schobert is likely to see reduced snaps in 2017, especially if the team uses a nickel defense scheme most of the time. LBs Christian Kirksey and Jamie Collins are expected to start, meaning Schobert's biggest impact could come on special teams, in the opinion of The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Dan Labbe. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Browns will be switching to a 4-3 this year, but could spend more time with two linebackers on the field than they will with three. Kirksey and Collins are one of the best duos in the league, and the strength of the defense. Schobert had a good rookie year, but he still won't be a core defensive player this year. [WAS - Three WAS LBs may compete for one spot]() Source: CSN Mid-Atlantic - Rich Tandler Washington Redskins LBs Martrell Spaight, [Chris Carter](=) and Zach Vigil could compete for one roster spot during training camp if the team decides to keep only four inside linebackers. Spaight may be the leading candidate for the spot because the team liked how he played at inside linebacker in 2016. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Will Compton, Mason Foster, and Zach Brown will be the top three, and all have been relevant in IDP leagues at different times in their careers, with Brown having the most value. Foster came on a nickel linebacker last year and could three-down value if he starts. Spaight has the advantage for the #3 job because the team was happy with his play when Compton missed time last year. [PIT - OLB Bud Dupree likely will start]( Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Joe Rutter Pittsburgh Steelers LB Bud Dupree likely will be the starting left outside linebacker this season. Dupree said he is more confident and has a better understanding of the defensive playbook. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dupree missed more than half of last season with an injury, but his natural physical ability flashed in a more aggressive Steelers defense in the second half of the season.
