[LAR - LA Rams not a suitor for RB Leonard Fournette](#22) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [CIN - RB Joe Mixon contract details](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Updating a previous story, Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon's four-year, $48-million contract extension includes a $10 million signing bonus and $1.3 million in base salary in 2020. He'll earn $8 million in base salary in 2021 and 2022, $9.4 million in 2023 and has a team option for $9.6 million in 2024. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mixon is paid and will lead the way for the Bengals offense. They'll use him as the battering ram and centerpiece of what they do offensively while rookie QB Joe Burrow gets experience at the pro level. Fantasy GMs are taking Mixon off the board at RB11 (2.01) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [WAS - Antonio Gibson primed for big role?]() Source: The Washington Post - Sam Fortier Washington Football Team RB Antonio Gibson may not have a clear immediate role with the team, but The Washington Post's Sam Fortier believes he will have 'a prominent one' if training camp was any indication.'We have a plan for him. That's a part of the secret we're trying to keep going into the regular season. But Antonio's a very versatile young man, a solid football player,' head coach Ron Rivera said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gibson was one of the most versatile running backs in the 2020 NFL draft. He can work well as a runner or receiver out of the backfield, plus he can line up in the slot and run routes. Washington's backfield is jam-packed with guys like Adrian Peterson and Bryce Love, so it will be interesting to see what Gibson can do in what could end up being a RBBC. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NO - RB Alvin Kamara not demanding trade](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara has not asked for or demanded a trade, according to him and his agent Tuesday, Sept. 1. They believe they are actively negotiating and making progress on a contract extension and Kamara has been in the team building every day. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There is a ton of things swirling around this situation as other reports indicate the Saints are open to a trade. Kamara wants a new deal, and the speculation is that he's looking for around $16 million annually while the Saints want to pay him around $12 million per year. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [SEA - RB Chris Carson self-declared 100 percent]( Source: Seattle Post-Intelligencer - Ben Arthur Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (hip) said Tuesday, Sept. 1, he's 100 percent recovered from the fractured hip that ended his 2019 season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's great...now he needs to stay that way. Carson can dish out a beating and he can take a lot of punishment as the lead back for Seattle. He's a power back with little nuance to his game, but he does get banged up too often. Carson is the starter for Seattle but they could mix in some Carlos Hyde to keep him fresh. Currently, Carson has an ADP of RB16 (3.02) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [LVR - WR Tyrell Williams update]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Updating a previous story, Las Vegas Raiders WR Tyrell Williams (shoulder) will undergo surgery for a torn labrum later this month and will be sidelined for six months, according to a source Tuesday, Sept. 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams has been banged up each of the last two years with the Raiders. He'll miss the 2020 season even though he wanted to try and play through this injury. The Raiders move forward with a young trio of wide receivers at the top of the depth chart including Henry Ruggs, Hunter Renfrow and Bryan Edwards. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [LAR - WR Cooper Kupp still not practicing]() Source: ESPN.com - Lindsey Thiry Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (leg) didn't participate in practice Tuesday, Sept. 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Keep an eye on this situation with the regular season right around the corner. Kupp has a current ADP of WR15 (4.04) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [SF - TE George Kittle expected to practice soon](=) Source: ESPN.com - Nick Wagoner San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) is expected back later in the week, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed Monday, Aug. 31. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kittle is the superstar of their offense, so the team is going to ease him back into action. Fantasy GMs know that Kittle is a top-tier tight end who can be a set-it-and-forget-it starter each week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [NYJ - Le'Veon Bell to see more work as a receiver?](=) Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell will likely be used more creatively in the passing game this season after head coach Adam Gase admitted to ESPN's Rich Cimini that he didn't do a good job of utilizing Bell's receiving skills in 2019.'I feel like we can find better ways to get him the ball to help him create more explosive plays. We can get him in space better than we did last year,' Gase said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bell can be used as a receiver more often than the Jets used him last year even though he had 66 catches that number could approach the 75-80 range. Gase has talked up Frank Gore this offseason, so perhaps that will mean Bell is used a little less as a runner and a little more as a receiver. He's a low-end RB2 for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [PHI - RB Miles Sanders day-to-day]() Source: Inside the Birds - Adam Caplan Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hamstring) was listed as day-to-day by head coach Doug Pederson during his media session Tuesday, Sept. 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The injury is not seen as that severe, so most expect him ready for Week 1 of the regular season. Sanders is going off the board at RB10 (1.12) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [CAR - TE Ian Thomas could miss time](=) Source: ESPN.com - David Newton Carolina Panthers TE Ian Thomas (toe) suffered a toe injury Monday, Aug. 31. X-rays returned negative and head coach Matt Rhule said Thomas would be back 'soon.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team has Thomas as their lead tight end, so this is a concerning situation with the regular season opener less than two weeks away. Thomas is on a roster with a ton of pass-catching talent, so Fantasy GMs should consider him more of a low-end TE2 this season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [IND - TE Jack Doyle able to practice]( Source: 1070 The Fan - Kevin Bowen Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (neck) was able to practice Monday, Aug. 31. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Neck injuries are always tricky to deal with. Doyle is the top tight end for the Colts and is a TE2 with upside in 2020. [Check it out here](. --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [NFL - RB Leonard Fournette clears waivers]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Updating a previous story, free-agent RB Leonard Fournette (Jaguars) officially cleared waivers Tuesday, Sept. 1, and is now a free agent. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fournette should get some interest now that he's on the open market. No team was willing to touch his salary and that's why nobody picked him up via waivers or traded a late-round pick for him when the Jaguars were trying to shop him. We could see him with a new team before the end of the week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [NYG - TE Evan Engram back on the field]() Source: Newsday - Tom Rock New York Giants TE Evan Engram (undisclosed) missed the team's scrimmage Friday, Aug. 28, but he has been able to return to practice. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Engram is talented but he misses a lot of time. Who knows what this latest absence was about but at least he's back out there practicing now. Engram is a TE1 for Fantasy GMs when healthy. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [NYJ - TE Chris Herndon expected to be OK]( Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta New York Jets TE Chris Herndon (chest) left practice early with a chest issue Tuesday, Sept. 1, but tests revealed no structural damage. The New York Daily News' Manish Mehta reported that Herndon, who reportedly had difficulty breathing times during practice, should be fine despite having irritation in his lungs. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Herndon is a talented player but injuries have held him back as a pro. Fantasy GMs are looking at him as a TE2 with upside in 2020. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [CAR - WR D.J. Moore getting it done in camp]( Source: Charlotte Observer - Jonathan Alexander Carolina Panthers WR D.J. Moore has been one of the standouts on offense during training camp, according to Jonathan Alexander of the Charlotte Observer. Per Alexander, Moore's route-running has been efficient and the bulk of cornerbacks he has faced 'have struggled to contain him.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Panthers 2020 outlook under new offensive coordinator Joe Brady, is going to feature a dynamic passing game that features three or four receivers in it's base offense. Moore was targeted 135 times last season and emerged as one of the league's best up and coming young talents. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [JAX - RB Devine Ozigbo could see early work]( Source: SI.com - John Shipley Jacksonville Jaguars RB Devine Ozigbo could see more work in Week 1 with RB Ryquell Armstead still getting back into form after missing time on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Jaguars RB situation is in flux now after the release of Leonard Fournette. Ozigbo is a powerful runner who doesn't waste a lot of motion when he's toting the rock. We've been monitoring him in deep dynasty formats and now he may get a shot to prove he can at least be a part of a RB rotation. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [CAR - QB Teddy Bridgewater showing well in camp]( Source: Charlotte Observer - Jonathan Alexander Carolina Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater has been 'an accurate passer' on short- and medium-range passes throughout camp, according to Jonathan Alexander of the Charlotte Observer. Per Alexander, while Bridgewater's passes haven't necessarily traveled 50-plus yards, he has consistently connected with his receivers when he has thrown a deep ball. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bridgewater is familiar with offensive coordinator, Joe Brady's offense from his time with the Saints. He's a smart and accurate quarterback with a good collection of talent around him. Bridgewater should play like a QB2 with upside for Fantasy GMs in 2020. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [BAL - Big role out of the gate for J.K. Dobbins?](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins will probably have 'a significant role' in the offense, according to comments made by head coach John Harbaugh on Tuesday, Sept. 1.'Confidence plus coachability plus talent, that's a pretty good combination and he's got all of that,' Harbaugh said of Dobbins. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dobbins was arguably the most talented running back in the 2020 NFL draft and the Ravens were able to get him in the second round. He'll be working in a RBBC with Mark Ingram but could see the field on passing downs because of his three-down skill set. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [CAR - WR Curtis Samuel having disappointing camp]( Source: Charlotte Observer - Jonathan Alexander Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel reportedly played well in the team's first practice without pads, but he has 'not been impressive' since then, according to Jonathan Alexander of the Charlotte Observer. Per Alexander, part of Samuel's struggles can be attributed to a minor hamstring injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Samuel is a player who can line up in a variety of spots on the field. The team needs to find a way to use him correctly, and Samuel needs to get healthy and stay healthy. He is more of a 'what the heck' flex if he's playing well in the Panthers offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [LAR - RB Darrell Henderson not ready to practice]() Source: ESPN.com - Lindsey Thiry Los Angeles Rams RB Darrell Henderson (hamstring) wasn't a participant in practice Tuesday, Sept. 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Henderson needs to get healthy to find his way into the RBBC. Cam Akers, rookie second-round pick from Florida State, is set to be the Rams lead back. Henderson will compete with Malcolm Brown to establish a pecking order behind Akers this season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [BUF - WR Stefon Diggs able to return for practice]() Source: ESPN.com - Marcel Louis-Jacques Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs (back) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 31. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Diggs is set to be the no.1 receiver the Bills have been searching for. He's worked diligently to create chemistry with QB Josh Allen and Diggs should be the young quarterbacks favorite target. Diggs has a current ADP of WR27 (6.05) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [LAR - LA Rams not a suitor for RB Leonard Fournette]() Source: ESPN.com - Lindsey Thiry Free-agent RB Leonard Fournette (Jaguars) is not of interest to the Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Sean McVay. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fournette is interested in playing for the Rams but apparently the feeling is not mutual. The veteran back has cleared waivers and should find a new team before the end of the week.
