[BUF - Spencer Long to receive reps at center](#18) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [HOU - WR Keke Coutee to miss time]( Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson Houston Texans WR [Keke Coutee]( (ankle) likely will be sidelined for at least one week because of the ankle injury he suffered in the preseason game Thursday, Aug. 8, according to head coach Bill O'Brien. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Coutee's Week 1 is not a sure thing, and his ADP should drop, although it wasn't reflecting his true ceiling demonstrated last year when he wasn't 100%. He should still be in draft plans. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [JAX - WR Marqise Lee unlikely for Week 1?]( Source: The Florida Times-Union - John Reid Jacksonville Jaguars WR [Marqise Lee]( (knee) probably will not be ready for the start of the regular season, according to head coach Doug Marrone. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lee was already going to have an uphill battle to have a big role in the pass offense. Dede Westbrook should lead the receivers in targets, but DJ Chark and Chris Conley have a shot at fantasy relevance as downfield receivers. Conley was recruited to the team by Nick Foles, so we're watching him closely. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NO - WR Rishard Matthews done in New Orleans]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates New Orleans Saints WR [Rishard Matthews]( was released with a left squad designation Saturday, Aug. 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Matthews fall from fantasy grace is complete now. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [GB - ILB Oren Burks likely suffered torn pec](=) Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers LB Oren Burks (pectoral) is believed to have suffered a torn pectoral muscle in the team's preseason opener against the Houston Texans, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Burks was penciled in as a starter, so this is a hole for this defense. He has plus pass coverage skills, so this is an upgrade for Trey Burton's Week 1 matchup and could be a weakness that teams attack if the Packers can't find a suitable replacement. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [TEN - DT Jurrell Casey ready to return]( Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt Tennessee Titans DT Jurrell Casey (knee) was activated from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list Saturday, Aug. 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Casey is a force inside and will needed in a Week 1 matchup against the high powered Browns offense. Hopefully he has a smooth return to action. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [JAX - Cam Robinson may miss start of season]( Source: The Florida Times-Union - John Reid Jacksonville Jaguars OT Cam Robinson (knee) may not be ready for the start of the regular season, according to head coach Doug Marrone. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Robinson is a standout for this line, which had some problems last year. If he's not available Week 1 against Frank Clark, that's going to be an issue for Nick Foles and company. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [IND - RB Jordan Wilkins dealing with foot issue]( Source: 1070 The Fan - Kevin Bowen Indianapolis Colts RB [Jordan Wilkins]( (foot) is not practicing because of a foot injury, and head coach Frank Reich said the team is trying to determine the best course of action for Wilkins. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jonathan Williams or D'Onta Foreman have a chance to make the team as the third back if this ends up being a long term injury. Williams is a Chris Ballard favorite and should stay on our deep dynasty radar until this is resolved. He's having a good camp and preseason so far. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [IND - WR Parris Campbell may return soon]( Source: The Athletic - Zak Keefer Indianapolis Colts WR Parris Campbell (hamstring) is expected to return to practice in the next few days, according to the Athletic's Zak Keefer. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Campbell was turning heads in practice with his advanced route running before the injury. He is still not getting to build rapport with Andrew Luck, but as long as Campbell gets back in the groove without re-injuring the hamstring, he'll be a worthy late round pick. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [HOU - DE J.J. Watt remains sidelined]( Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson Houston Texans DE J.J. Watt (groin) did not participate in practice Saturday, Aug. 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watt's injury sounds minor, but with his history of maladies, you'd rather see him full speed throughout camp. He's still a premier IDP force, but will lose something if Jadeveon Clowney's holdout extends into the season. Most reports have Clowney returning before Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [HOU - DeAndre Carter activated]( Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson Houston Texans WR [DeAndre Carter]( (hamstring) was activated from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list Saturday, Aug. 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Carter is back just as Keke Coutee is missing time. He replaced Coutee at times last year and could be a deep PPR sleeper if he makes the team and Coutee is out at the beginning of the season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [BAL - Team drills for WR Marquise Brown](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens WR Marquise Brown (foot) participated in team drills during practice Saturday, Aug. 10. He had been limited to individual drills since being activated from the Non-Football Injury list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brown might get back on the field in time to create some chemistry with Lamar Jackson in game situations and merit consideration for Week 1 lineups against Miami. Whether he or Miles Boykin is the rookie Ravens receiver to target in redraft leagues is to be determined. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [GB - RB Aaron Jones back on field](=) Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky Green Bay Packers RB [Aaron Jones]( (hamstring) participated in practice Saturday, Aug. 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A good sign as this absence didn't last long. If Jones has an uneventful first few practices back, there will be no reason to worry about this going into the season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [CHI - WR Anthony Miller injured Saturday]( Source: Chicago Sun-Times - Patrick Finley Chicago Bears WR [Anthony Miller]( (foot) suffered a foot injury during practice Saturday, Aug. 10, but head coach Matt Nagy said he does not believe the injury is serious. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Javon Wims has had a good camp and could get more opportunity while Miller is mending. Miller was a good second half of draft sleeper, but if this is going to threaten his early season availability, it will relegate him to waiver watch list status. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [PHI - DE Derek Barnett makes progress](=) Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane Philadelphia Eagles DE Derek Barnett (shoulder) participated in team drills Saturday, Aug. 10, for the first time since the start of training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Barnett will be playing a larger role this year with Michael Bennett gone to New England. He's on the IDP radar and could have a breakout year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [PHI - TE Dallas Goedert misses practice](=) Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane Philadelphia Eagles TE [Dallas Goedert]( (calf) did not participate in practice Saturday, Aug. 10, and is considered week-to-week because of a calf injury. The injury is not considered serious, and he should be ready for Week 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'll believe Goedert will be ready for Week 1 when he is out there. With full practice participation it will be easier to trust him going into the season, but this takes a little luster off of his sleeper status. He did look very good in the preseason opener before his injury and will be a major mismatch when healthy. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [NYJ - NYJ to hold tryouts for kickers](=) Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta Free-agent PKs Chris Blewitt (Bears) and Blair Walsh (Seahawks) are among several kickers who will try out for the New York Jets Saturday, Aug. 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Chandler Catanzaro has had a shaky start to the preseason in addition to a shaky camp, so the Jets have to bring in competition. Jason Myers was highly successful for the Jets last year, but the team let him walk in free agency and sign in Seattle. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [DET - DE Trey Flowers activated from PUP list](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport The Detroit Lions activated DE Trey Flowers (shoulder) from the Physically Unable to Perform list Saturday, Aug. 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Flowers was the big ticket free agent for the Lions, reunited with his defensive coordinator in New England, Detroit head coach Matt Patricia. Along with Mike Daniels, he should provide the pass rush punch the defense lacked. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [BUF - Spencer Long to receive reps at center]() Source: The Buffalo News Buffalo Bills OG Spencer Long is expected to see snaps at center in the near future, although he worked out exclusively at guard during practice Friday, Aug. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bills have injury problems at multiple positions on the offensive line. The potential for their offense will be limited if they can't find a group of five players at set positions who can gel before the season.
