[DEN - QB Joe Flacco only QB to work with starters](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos QB [Joe Flacco]( will be the only quarterback that works with the first-team offense during offseason workouts, according to head coach Vic Fangio. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Drew Lock falling to the second round means the Broncos shouldn't feel any pressure to rush him onto the field because of a heavy investment. Flacco should feel more secure and the offense should be suited to his strengths under first-year coordinator Rich Scangarello. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [PHI - QB Cody Kessler set to sign with Philly](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Free-agent QB [Cody Kessler]( (Jaguars) is expected to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, May 13, a source reported Sunday, May 12. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kessler will be a lot cheaper than Nate Sudfeld even though he'll be new to the Eagles system. He could make the team as a third quarterback if the team isn't completely sold on Sudfeld to back up the oft-injured Carson Wentz. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [WAS - Dwayne Haskins has chance to start]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams Washington Redskins QB Dwayne Haskins is part of an open competition for the starting quarterback job, according to head coach Jay Gruden. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Haskins is very different from Colt McCoy and Case Keenum, so Gruden will have to make some stylistic decisions based on how the competition is going. Recent history suggests Haskins will see the field by mid-season no matter what happens this summer. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [DEN - RB Phillip Lindsay to be limited during OTAs](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos RB [Phillip Lindsay]( (wrist) will be a limited participant during organized team activities because of his wrist injury, according to head coach Vic Fangio. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Even a limited role in OTAs is a good sign for Lindsay, who had a serious wrist injury at the end of the season. We'll be watching his progress closely with likely improvements in the Broncos offense (especially on the offensive line) fueling a more productive season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DEN - CB Chris Harris won't be traded](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis The Denver Broncos will not be trading CB Chris Harris Jr., according to a source. An unidentified team had reportedly expressed interest in acquiring him several hours before the NFL Draft started but later backed off. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Harris has been severely underpaid, even on his second contract with the team. The "no fly zone" has had a lot of turnaround and needs Harris as the keystone. The team should sign him to a long-term deal this year to keep him happy. If they don't, expect him to leave in free agency next year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [HOU - Houston signs Xavier Woodson-Luster]() Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson Free-agent LB Xavier Woodson-Luster (Browns) signed with the Houston Texans Sunday, May 12, according to a source. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also waived LB Chase Middleton. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Woodson-Luster projects best as an inside linebacker playing on early downs. He was previously in the 2017 draft class and spent time in the Raiders, Bills, and Browns organizations. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [BUF - Moral Stephens joins Buffalo]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak Undrafted free-agent TE Moral Stephens (Florida) signed with the Buffalo Bills Sunday, May 12. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Stephens had minimal production at Florida, but head coach Dan Mullen said he is very athletic with good ball skills and indicated that he was just beginning to fulfill his potential. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DEN - Two players will be limited](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos TE [Jake Butt]( (knee) and OG Ronald Leary (Achilles) will be limited during organized team activities because of injuries. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Butt might trouble making the team with Noah Fant now penciled in as the top receiving tight end on the team after Denver spent a first-round pick on him. Jeff Heuerman, Troy Fumagalli, and Temarrick Hemingway will be his main competition for a roster spot. Leary should be eager to get back on the field to benefit from the addition of Mike Munchak as offensive line coach. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DEN - CB Isaac Yiadom to be limited early](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos CB Isaac Yiadom (shoulder) likely will be limited during the first week of organized team activities but should be a full participant later in the offseason. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Yiadom was a third-round pick last year and projects as a top backup at outside corner. He got some playing time last year because of injuries and then had to play through an injury of his own when he hurt his shoulder in Week 14. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [DEN - CB Bryce Callahan should be ready](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos CB Bryce Callahan (foot) will be ready for the start of organized team activities. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Callahan was a big factor in the Bears defense's tremendous season last year and new head coach Vic Fangio knows how to get the best football from him after coaching him in Chicago. He should help even more now that it appears that Chris Harris won't be traded. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [PIT - Devin Bush inks rookie deal](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Pittsburgh Steelers LB Devin Bush signed his rookie contract Sunday, May 12. The four-year deal, with a fifth-year option, is worth a total of $18.9 million fully guaranteed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bush will be a day one starter in Ryan Shazier's old spot, and hopefully stop the bleeding in the middle of the defense. He is a rookie of the year candidate and potential instant leader for a defense that has been sorely lacking speed and impact plays since losing Shazier. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [JAX - Jags add pair of UDFAs](=) Source: Jaguars.com Undrafted rookie free-agents TE Michael Colubiale and CB Jocquez Kalili signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, May 12. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Colubiale is an undersized tight end with great speed. He was originally a walk-on, so he knows how to beat long odds. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [MIA - RB Mark Walton among Miami signees]() Source: MiamiDolphins.com Free-agent RB [Mark Walton]( (Bengals) and CB Jamar Summers (Steelers) and undrafted rookie C Kirk Barron signed with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, May 12. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Walton was a fourth-round pick in 2018 and certainly has the skills and physical ability to make the Dolphins roster as a third-down back. Seventh-round pick Myles Gaskin might have a tough time outplaying Walton, who was released by Cincinnati after multiple offseason arrests. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [DET - Nate Becker, Donald Parham released](=) Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett Detroit Lions TEs Nate Becker and Donald Parham were released Sunday, May 12. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Parham has great height and speed and could be a mismatch giant slot receiver at 6'8", but the Lions had seen enough to decide that he didn't have a place in their future. We'll see if another team gives him a shot. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [DET - Detroit adds pair of wideouts](=) Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett Free-agent WRs Tom Kennedy and Jordan Smallwood signed with the Detroit Lions on Sunday, May 12. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kennedy was a pro lacrosse player and joins Chris Hogan as NFL players who have strong lacrosse backgrounds. Smallwood spent time with Kansas City and San Francisco last year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [JAX - Charles Jones signs with Jacksonville]( Source: The Associated Press - Mark Long Rookie free-agent TE Charles Jones was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, May 12, after impressing during a recent rookie camp tryout. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones is an athletic but raw receiving tight end prospect who will try to make his mark while the team is expecting third-round pick Josh Oliver to win the long-term receiving tight end job. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [MIA - Dave DeGuglielmo hired]() Source: The Palm Beach Post - Hal Habib The Miami Dolphins hired Dave DeGuglielmo as an analyst Saturday, May 11. His primary responsibility will include assisting offensive line coach Pat Flaherty. DeGuglielmo had previously served as an offensive line coach for the Dolphins from 2009 to 2011 and most recently worked for the Indianapolis Colts in the same capacity in 2018. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Frank Reich let DeGuglielmo go despite his smashing success rebuilding an offensive line that had been a major liability in previous years. The Dolphins have even less to work with than the Colts did last year, so his services will be sorely needed. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [TEN - DT Jurrell Casey eyeing OTAs](=) Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt Tennessee Titans DT Jurrell Casey (knee) said he feels good after healing up during the offseason and expects to be ready for the start of OTAs. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Casey might not get to share the field with first-round pick Jeffery Simmons until 2020, but when Simmons returns from a torn ACL suffered during pre-draft training, it could give the Titans the best 1-2 punch at defensive tackle in the league.
