THIS IS URGENT, Friend! Manatees are dying out FAST and our oceans are being DESTROYED by toxic waste. One of the culprits? You got it – Big Cruise. Large cruise ships parade through our oceans and carelessly dump excessive waste into our fragile marine ecosystems. But the damage goes beyond that, Friend. Once toxic cruise waste enters our oceans, harmful pollutants and toxins contaminate the ocean floor and can destroy delicate aquatic plants, including seagrass beds. What makes seagrass unique? It is not only a critical food source for manatees, but seagrass also supports the vitality of our marine ecosystem. It stores almost a FIFTH of the world’s ocean carbon. We can thank seagrass for defending us from the impacts of our worsening climate crisis. The benefits of seagrass go beyond just our oceans. Nearby coastal communities rely on seagrass and its properties to maintain water quality which directly impacts their water and food supply. Preserving seagrass is CRUCIAL to preserving our oceans for those who rely on it. Manatees, people, and our planet are all at risk of irreversible harm if we do not demand more accountability and regulation of Big Cruise from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. [Please Friend, we need your help in fighting corporate greed. Will you take 30 seconds to sign our petition to demand the EPA to regulate cruise pollution before it’s too late? >>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( With the depletion of seagrass, innocent manatees are left to STARVE and die of MALNUTRITION. Over the last 2 years, the manatee population has drastically declined. 2021 was the DEADLIEST year on record with OVER A THOUSAND of these gentle giants dying out. Yet, despite the environmental significance of this critical marine plant, profit-driven cruise companies continue to increase ship traffic, size, and volume while carelessly churning up toxic wastewater, sand, and other contaminants in Florida’s waters and around the world. Could you imagine what would happen if we no longer had our beloved manatees? Could you imagine the grave danger of our oceans and planet if seagrass continues to disappear? We don’t want to imagine that either, Friend. We can take action NOW to prevent this all from occurring.
