Last year, a team of helicopters took to the Alaskan skies – rifles at the ready. Less than a month later, 94 Alaskan grizzlies lay dead: including 11 innocent cubs. Imagine the terror, Friend. Bullets raining from the skies. Mama bears crumpling to the ground – their babies clinging to their mangled bodies. Bleeding and suffering bears scrambling desperately to escape hell on earth. This isn’t how America’s precious wildlife should be treated. It’s clear that we are on the verge of losing one of North America’s most treasured mammals — and without urgent action, grizzly bears could soon be violently wiped out forever by vicious hunters. These brutal attacks on our nation’s precious grizzlies MUST END. [Will you step up today and fight back against merciless hunters who are brutally killing innocent grizzly bears en masse? Add your name to our petition NOW to help SAVE these precious animals from extinction! >>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( This bloody massacre didn’t happen by accident. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game gave specific instructions to these hunters to KILL every single bear and wolf they saw. And the violence that ensued is just a window into the future for grizzly bears in the continental U.S. Right now, extremist lawmakers are teaming up with Big Polluters and the hunting lobby to attack the Endangered Species Act (ESA) protections that are essential to keeping grizzlies safe in the lower 48 states. If these anti-bear interests win, we could see this violent slaughter repeat itself with more helicopter chases, vicious hunting dogs, and even baits and traps that would leave precious grizzlies suffering for days on end. But the truth is that these deaths are completely preventable – and we can’t stand by and watch while bloodthirsty hunters drive treasured grizzlies to extinction. Without adequate ESA protections, trophy hunters could be LEGALLY allowed to kill grizzlies indiscriminately with NO consequences. And once grizzlies are completely driven out of their lands, Big Polluters will swoop in — these greedy corporate industries have hopes to open these lands up for mining, logging, and other planet-harming practices. The fight is far from over, Friend, but we are quickly running out of time before these anti-bear extremists move to DELIST grizzly bears from the ESA. We need to mobilize grassroots environmentalists like you to build enough public pressure to persuade the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) to prioritize the survival of this keystone species above Big Polluter profits and political special interests. Your action today will help fuel our work to push back against these private interests aiming to weaken the ESA in order to hunt down vulnerable species like bears, wreaking havoc on their environments, and contributing to the ecological destruction on our planet. The future existence of grizzlies is hanging in the balance, and every moment of inaction puts innocent grizzly bears and helpless cubs in danger.
