This lucky monarch is one of the fortunate ones. Milkweed has been scarce lately, and it’s an essential part of their survival: it's the ONLY plant on which monarchs can lay their eggs and it’s the ONLY food source for baby caterpillars. To put it bluntly: Without milkweed, monarchs will die. And sadly, that’s the direction we’re headed — a world far less colorful without these beloved and essential pollinators. Over the last two decades, over 850 million milkweed plants have vanished across the U.S., which experts are blaming largely on glyphosate (the active ingredient in Bayer-Monsanto’s Roundup). At the same time, the North American monarch population has declined by 90%. Now, these majestic butterflies are hanging on by a thread. These numbers are NOT a coincidence, Friend. It’s clear that if we don’t do something to stop Roundup from decimating milkweed, monarch butterflies could soon be pushed to EXTINCTION. If that happens, it will be catastrophic to our planet’s ecosystems, which impacts ALL of us. [We need to act now by demanding that Bayer-Monsanto STOPS selling Roundup before we lose monarchs forever >>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( While monarch butterflies search desperately for milkweed plants and their populations plummet, Bayer-Monsanto continues to rake in huge profits selling Roundup, the company’s flagship product. Keep in mind: glyphosate is the most widely used herbicide in the world, Roundup is a household name. This is a product that is not only threatening the survival of vulnerable monarchs but has also been linked to serious health risks in humans, like brain damage and even cancer! And this toxic chemical is making its way into our environment every day… on a MASSIVE scale. But despite Bayer-Monsanto knowing FULL well that Roundup isn’t safe for people, pollinators OR the planet, the Big Pesticide giant is so money-hungry that it has been caught falsifying science data and evading pesticide regulations — all to hide the truth about how dangerous Roundup really is. Bayer-Monsanto’s untethered corporate greed is putting us ALL at risk by continuing to sell Roundup, Friend. But it’s going to take A LOT of dedication and persistence from grassroots activists like you if we’re going to apply enough public pressure to get this powerful company to act. [Can we count on you to step up and join us in the fight against toxic glyphosate today? Add your name now! >>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Let’s build a strong grassroots coalition that will fight back against Bayer-Monsanto and its dangerous lies about Roundup.
