URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Animals enduring HORRIFIC ABUSE in factory farms! Stop Congress from REVERSING

URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Animals enduring HORRIFIC ABUSE in factory farms! Stop Congress from REVERSING hard-won farmed animal protections! URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Animals enduring HORRIFIC ABUSE in factory farms! [Stop Congress from REVERSING hard-won farmed animal protections!]( Picture this: pigs and chickens crammed into filthy crates, some so small they can’t even turn around. They’re raised in dark and dreary warehouses. Some may never feel the sun before they’re killed. It’s gruesome, Friend, but it’s reality. Some states have animal welfare laws that prohibit some of the cruelest practices on factory farms, but extremists in Congress are trying to REPEAL these laws! It gets worse. In addition to repealing animal welfare laws, this year’s proposed Farm Bill would restrict the ability of states and localities to protect people and pollinators from toxic pesticides. This is a nightmare waiting to happen – but we’re running out of time to STOP these provisions before the Farm Bill advances. [Friend, please tell your Representative to OPPOSE these terrible roll-backs of our right to protect our communities, endangered pollinators and farmed animals from Big Ag’s abuse!]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( I cannot understate the danger of taking away states' and local governments’ ability to protect people, pollinators, and the planet from toxic pesticides. Pollinators are in crisis, Friend – which means our food system is seriously threatened. Many of these pesticides are linked to cancer, reproductive harm and learning disabilities. We need to do everything we can to increase protection from harmful pesticides, not strip them away. The extremists in Congress have a simple goal: boost factory farming and toxic, chemical-intensive agriculture that maximizes profits for Big Ag and STEAL our right to push for strong protections for our families, bees and animals in the states and cities where we live. To make matters worse, this Farm Bill would also SLASH FUNDING for nutrition programs and climate-friendly agriculture. It might pass without your help! [Please, Friend, will you take immediate action to STOP the House of Representatives from passing a toxic Farm Bill loaded with Big Ag handouts? We need 2,287 more signatures by 11:59pm TONIGHT!]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Standing with you, Molly Armus Animal Agriculture Policy Program Manager, Friends of the Earth Contact Us: Friends of the Earth U.S. Washington, D.C. | Berkeley, CA PO Box 7010 Merrifield, VA 22116-7010 1-877-843-8687 [Contact us](foe.org/about-us/contact/) Email Preferences: [Click here to unsubscribe]( Learn more: www.foe.org/news www.foe.org/about-us www.foeaction.org Connect: [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Flickr]( © 2024, Friends of the Earth.
