Everything in nature has a cause and effect, Friend. We are all interconnected in an intricate web of existence, made up of complex and fragile ecosystems. Everything in nature has a cause and effect, Friend. We are all interconnected in an intricate web of existence, made up of complex and fragile ecosystems, where individual actions can set off a cascade of consequences rippling through the fabric of life on Earth and shaping our world in ways both seen and unseen. Let’s take a look at how this universal concept applies to Bayer-Monsanto’s Roundup: → Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Roundup and is the most widely used herbicide in the world; and therefore, its widespread usage results in significantly far-reaching environmental impacts, both direct and indirect. → A direct result of glyphosate use is the decimation of milkweed across the country: in the past two decades alone, over 850 MILLION milkweed plants have vanished. → As an indirect but consequential result of widespread glyphosate use, monarch butterflies are dying out rapidly. The beloved North American monarch population has declined by a staggering 90% in the last 20 years. Now, although Roundup might not be directly responsible for outright killing these iconic orange and black butterflies one by one, there is a compelling correlation between glyphosate use and the drastic decline in monarchs who depend on milkweed for survival. It is the ONLY food source for young caterpillars and is also where monarchs reproduce. Without milkweed, not only would baby monarch caterpillars STARVE to death, but monarchs would run out of places to lay their eggs in the first place! Bayer-Monsanto puts glyphosate in Roundup, Roundup kills milkweed, and monarchs die without enough milkweed plants — and if an entire pollinator species like monarch butterflies were to go extinct, the delicate balance and order of our planet’s fragile ecosystems is disrupted. And the resulting repercussions after that could be catastrophic. [So, if we’re going to SAVE monarch butterflies and prevent the harmful impacts of glyphosate, we MUST demand that Bayer-Monsanto STOPS selling toxic Roundup. Can we count on you to take action now?]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Roundup is harmful to biodiversity, making our planet’s ecosystems more vulnerable to climate change. Glyphosate has also been linked to direct health risks in humans including cancer and reproductive harm! But these dangers haven’t stopped greedy Bayer-Monsanto from pushing their flagship product. In fact, the corporation has been caught manipulating science and evading pesticide regulations in order to DECEIVE THE PUBLIC and cover up how UNSAFE Roundup really is. Friend, we can’t bear to see the pesticide industry threaten the planet and its living beings for the sake of profit — can you? [If you agree that Bayer-Monsanto needs to be held accountable for its DANGEROUS lies that are putting us all at risk, then won’t you please step up and sign our petition by the deadline at 11:59 P.M. tonight? Add your name now to fight back against toxic Roundup before it’s too late! >>]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Thanks for taking action for our planet and our pollinators!
