Yesterday I sent out an email to my entire list with the wrong link. The link was supposed to go to a meditation video. Instead, it went to a Dude Perfect video. The video was combo of trick shots and a tour of their new office. (Well, it was new 6 years ago when they made the video.) I’m a huge fan of Dude Perfect and I’ve been subscribed to their channel since they had less than 100,000 subscribers. (They now have 58 million!) But I wasn’t just casually watching their videos for fun when I accidentally copied the wrong link. I was doing legit research. (Which I now get to tell you about because of the mistake I made.) See, I believe deeply in having a vision for your future. Not so much what you want to achieve, but what you want your life to look like. Feel like. What type of person you want to be. How you spend your days. Where you live. Etc. One of my dreams for close to a decade has been to have an office similar to the Fantasy Factory. The Fantasy Factory was a show with Rob Drydek. Him and his buddies had a bad ass warehouse full of foam pits, skate ramps, and all sorts of fun stuff. Now, I’m not a skateboarder, but the concept always seemed like the coolest thing on earth to me. When he went to work he went to the most epic playground ever and hung out with his best friends…while getting rich AF. Then Dude Perfect took things to a whole other level with their office. Indoor soccer fields, basketball hoops, hockey rinks, go karts, golf karts, a gym, golf simulator, etc. I don’t think a lot of people on earth have a lot more fun than I do, but what the Dude Perfect dudes do on a daily basis seems like just about the best thing ever. I LOVE games. Like, it’s a bit of a problem. I’m competitive to a fault. I just love competing and doing fun shit. It just so happens that my business partner was a fan of the Fantasy Factory and has always wanted to work in one too. So we’ve had it as a “distant” company goal to get an office/warehouse space and deck it out as our own “Fantasy Factory.” But during our annual Traction planning meeting a couple weeks ago I decided we should make it less of a goal for the distant future and make it happen sooner. So we made a deal with ourselves. If we hit a certain revenue goal in our business by June 30th of this year…we will get our own Fantasy Factory. (Which we are thinking of calling The Funderdome.) During our quarterly planning meeting on Monday I gave a powerpoint presentation to our team with pictures and videos to inspire them to share our Funderdome vision. That’s why I was watching the Dude Perfect video - for inspiration for the space we are going to create. I know that space will make life better across the board. We’ll have more fun AND get more work done AND help more people all at the same time. The goal is to make it a place where attendance is never required, but the Funderdome is always full. I’ve found that the more fun I have, the more money I make. And the more people I help. So there ya have it. There’s my big vision for the moment. I’m gonna do everything in my power to make sure we hit our goal so we can create the Funderdome. What’s your Funderdome? What’s the thing you want most? Whatever that is, get after it. Maybe it’s just quitting your job or working from your laptop anywhere in the world. If that’s the case, [apply for 90 Days to Freedom](. That’s all I got for today. Tomorrow I’ll share my deeper beliefs on why I like making mistakes. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
