I binge shows from time to time. I'm human. I'm currently watching The Office for the 19th time. Don't judge me. Anyway... Ever wonder why you get glued to your screen episode after episode? Saying "just one more episode" like an optimistic drug addict? Ever wish your emails had that "can't-wait-for-the-next-one" effect? Well, you can use the same tactics as a Netflix showrunner when you send out emails. Especially if you're using email to deliver your courses. (If you sell courses obviously.) Let’s break it down. What makes you say "just one more" when you know you should go to sleep or go to the gym. It's a tactic called open loops. Cliffhangers are the most famous type of open loop. Open loops are a fancy "Hollywood" writing technique. But they're actually really easy to understand. You basically get the reader or watcher to ask a question in their mind - then don't answer that question till later. Are Jim and Pam gonna end up together? Is Walter White gonna die of cancer? Who's gonna end up on the Throne in Game of Thrones? (Spoiler alert: the ending of that show pooped the bed.) Those questions keep people watching. The thing is you can use the same techniques in your emails to get people addicted to reading them. And if you create Email Delivered Courses with open loops - you'll get people addicted to buying from you. At that point you’re not just sending information - you’re creating an experience. Imagine your audience poised over their inbox, eager for your next installment. It’s not just about open rates anymore. It’s about creating fans. Loyal, engaged, buying fans. We're talking about transforming your email list into people to hang on your every word. Every email becomes a scene. Each word plays its part. And what unfolds is nothing short of binge-worthy content that your subscribers can't resist. Plus, here’s the kicker: they’ll learn from you AND look forward to buying from you. That's part of why Email Delivered Courses work so damn well. But here’s the cool part. You don’t need to figure it out alone. Derek Johanson's new Email Delivered Courses Course (that's delivered via email - so meta) will show you how to use open loops in your course. And I'm gonna cover that on the bonus call I'm doing for people who buy it through my link. The course arms you with everything you need to make your course addicting like a Netflix series. (Or at least better than a boring ass ebook or normal course.) And I'm giving away two bonuses for anyone who buys his course through my link below. 1. How to Create Info Products in 2 Hours. This a full 32 page document that shows you how I create Email Delivered courses FAST. This has only been offered as a bonus for courses that were $1,000 or more. 2. A 1-2 hour live video training on how I create Email Delivered Courses. And how to get paid for your first course...even if you don't have a list or audience. This will be worth as much as you pay for Derek's course. But you're getting way more value cuz you get his course and my training on it as well. It will be recorded if you can't make the live training. The live training will be next week. The bonuses will be sent out to you on Monday. So if you're interested at all, check it out. [ Click here to check it out]( It'll be available till Sunday night (I think). Talk soon, Ian "email showrunner" Stanley P.S. Derek Johanson and I did a zoom call yesterday talking about why Email Delivered Courses work so well. We shared stories and strategies you can use. It was a lot of fun and people seemed to love it.
