Oil prices may fall below $90 a barrel if the world's two biggest oil consumers continue struggling with growth.
Economic woes in the two biggest economies in the world can affect demand for energy and, hence, Brent and WTI oil prices. The main problems for the United States are rising inflation and low growth. In China, repeated lockdowns are halting production.
On the other hand, oil demand could find some support from record-high natural gas prices, prompting industrial consumers to switch to oil-fired generation to survive the upcoming winter. In addition, the oil supply is not expanding: the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries approved only a slight increase in production next month. Technically, XBRUSD may slide to 80.00 if it breaks below 90.00 and settles under this level. [Learn more]( Weekly outlook
