Free webinar on August 13! [Quick and Crafty from FaveCrafts Special Offers] A message from our family of cooking and crafting brands.  [Learn to Knit a Headband!](   Join us on Tuesday, August 13 at 11am CT and [learn to knit a headband!]( Sponsored by the Hands on Knitting Center, this FREE one-hour class will cover everything you need to know about steeking as you work up a gorgeous autumnal knit headband.  Stranded colorwork is most easily worked in the round. Which is great when you want a pullover. But if you want a cardigan, your choice is to work it flat or to steek it. A steek is simply an area roughly 7 stitches wide that we add to a piece to later cut and pick up stitches. They can be added for V-necks, sleeves, or button bands.  In this class, we will knit a headband in the round using the Falling into Autumn motif that is also used in our upcoming Steeked Cardigan KAL! This headband acts as your gauge swatch for the cardi.  Molly will show you three options for steeking and talk about a 4th. The steeking options vary with the type of yarn you use.  We then pick up and knit stitches on the headband to add tapering around the ears and back of the neck with three options on how to finish it: Icord straps, button band, or grafting.  [Sign up today!][Sign up now. ](  [I'll be there](  PS: Can’t make the live session?
