, I want to share what’s been happening with my wife, Stephanie and why these next few months are so important. Her kidneys have failed, and she’s currently on the transplant list at UAB (University of Alabama Birmingham), where I’m her primary caregiver. Now, we’re also taking steps to expand her chances by seeking to add her to the Cleveland Clinic transplant list in Ohio, where the program could further increase her access to a donor match. One of the ways I’m supporting her is by registering as a kidney donor myself. While I’m not a direct match for Stephanie, I’ve joined a paired kidney exchange program. This means I’ll donate my kidney to someone else, which allows her to receive one from a matching donor in return. By doing this, we’re opening up more options for her to get a compatible kidney, and every chance counts. In Cleveland, our oldest daughter, Taylor, will be taking over as her primary caregiver. We’re incredibly lucky to have family in the area, and we are arranging planes to be on standby, ready to fly us to Cleveland at a moment’s notice if a kidney becomes available. We are prepared to act quickly, and I am blessed to have the financial resources to make that happen. Throughout this journey, we know there may be times of uncertainty and waiting, but we’re taking every possible step to be prepared and proactive. We’re grateful for your support, patience, and understanding as we navigate this together. Please keep Stephanie in your thoughts and prayers, and thank you for standing by us. With gratitude, Matt Bacak P.S. Please keep this private especially for our son who's dealing with a tough time right now. Your discretion means a lot to our family. , 23 N Main St, Wedowee, AL 36278, United States You may [unsubscribe]( or [change your contact details]( at any time.
