January 6th will forever be in our memories. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

January 6th will forever be in our memories. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [Eugene DePasquale for PA]( {NAME}, one year ago, our democracy was shaken to its core. When far-right extremists stormed the Capitol and interrupted the peaceful transition of power that our country had undertaken for decades, they showed us just how powerful lies and half-truths could hurt our country. Now, a year later, we’re still trying to piece together what happened and what it means for us in Central PA. Last month, Scott Perry became the first sitting member of Congress to be called to testify in front of the January 6th House Committee. Before that, he was asked to release his own phone records on that fateful day – a request he refused. Since then, we’ve learned a shocking amount about his role in one of our country’s darkest days. It’s now clear that Scott Perry was one of the most central figures in the attack on our government, and was present at countless backdoor meetings and hushed conversations that led up to that violent day. At every step of the near destruction of our democracy, in real time, he was present. But instead of telling us everything he knows and being held accountable, Perry has refused to testify and is ignoring his responsibility to our district and our communities. His refusal to testify shows the contempt he has for his constituents, the Constitution, and the rule of law. Enough is enough. Given everything we now know about his role in the insurrection and attempts to overturn the 2020 election, coupled with his extremism and a decade-long record of failures, we know Scott Perry is no longer fit to serve in public office. [Now it’s up to us to make sure he will never have the power to steer our country towards its destruction ever again. You can make sure that happens by chipping in $6 to help stop Scott Perry today.]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Donate $5]( [Donate $10]( [Donate $25]( [Donate $50]( [Donate $100]( [Donate other amount]( Thank you, Team Eugene Eugene DePasquale has dedicated his public service to tirelessly fighting for working people, our senior citizens, and our most vulnerable.
