Bucherer launched the ScubaTech Black Manta Special Edition, a timepiece specifically dedicated to the conservation of the black manta ray. Developed especially for Carl F. Bucherer, its innovative textile strap is mostly composed of recycled PET bottles and features bronze-colored contrast stitching. Bucherer marked its 11th year supporting the Manta Trust with the launch of a bright green version of its Patravi ScubaTec. The latest edition comes in a gorgeous verdant hue with a lacquered green dial, showcasing an intricate wave-design detailing. The brand chose this hue as it is inspired by the emerald green waters around Isla de La Plata—a small island, about 40 kms off the Ecuadorian coast that plays host to more than 22,000 manta rays, who gather there around August and September, every year. ⁣ The timepiece is crafted in stainless steel and is topped by a matching unidirectional bezel with ceramic green inserts. The thick sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating on both sides.
