Have a great day! EMAIL MARKETING Mailchimp forms an integration with Yelp Source: Giphy The big picture: According to a recent QuickBooks’s survey, 1 in 2 customers are less likely to buy from a brand that they cannot find online. Also, Yelp’s research has shown that 70% of respondents say they rarely buy from a business without first checking their reviews. This means that people compare brands before they decide which one to purchase from more than ever before . This definitely does not come as a surprise as we know how much social proof contributes to a brand’s credibility. That’s why Mailchimp , the email marketing platform, formed an integration with Yelp , which will allow Mailchimp users with Yelp business pages to add content blocks from Yelp to their campaigns. These content blocks can include location information, business hours, photos, reviews, Yelp rating etc. As Yelp puts it, “By using the newly added Yelp content blocks in Mailchimp, businesses can easily highlight reviews touting a great customer experience, a photo from Yelp of a popular dish or a recent home service job, or simply share their hours, location and contact information. As many business owners rely on email as a primary marketing channel to attract and retain customers, showcasing engaging content plays an important role in capturing the attention of those customers.” Small businesses can definitely use this integration to their advantage and turn potential customers into regular buyers by using the data from their reviews. ECOMMERCE AdRoll and Shopify’s new rewards program Source: Giphy Zoom in: AdRoll , the marketing and advertising platform for D2C eCommerce brands, and Shopify teamed up and announced a new partnership which resulted in a new rewards program. This program gives Shopify merchants 10% back for any spend on AdRoll’s web advertising, for both native and display ads. The program will start on November 1, and Shopify merchants on AdRoll's Ads package or Marketing & Ads Plus package will automatically be enrolled. "We are so excited to launch this program today. At a time when merchants and consumers face economic challenges, it's never been more important to help our customers do more with less. For seven years and counting, Shopify has been an incredible partner and continues to work with us in new and inventive ways to benefit our mutual customers," stated Roli Saxena, President at AdRoll. All in all, this new solution comes at a time when merchants and consumers face huge economic changes, and being able to receive a direct benefit will be more than welcomed.
