All month, they've been hearing arguments on the legal status of mifepristone, a safe and essential abortion medication â and as of this week, another landmark case is with the court, which centers around whether a state can ban abortion if the patient's health is at risk. Republicans rushed to pack the Supreme Court with conservative justices who would sanction unethical and discriminatory practices that align with their party's greed and bigotry. So it comes as no surprise that ethics scandals and disastrous decisions have defined this iteration of the Court. This year, reproductive rights, voting rights, and the dissemination of disinformation on social platforms will all be on the docket. To put it plainly, millions of Americans' fundamental rights depend on the whims of a court they did not elect and do not trust. And we know exactly who to blame for this: A Republican Party who stole the Court and handpicked justices with the intent of taking this country back into the dark ages.
