Given that the Senate race is the top of the ticket in the state, we know that whatever happens in our race will impact the presidential, too. That’s why Trump has given Mike Rogers his full-throated endorsement — and why he’s attacked me directly, by name, calling me a “far-left liberal lunatic.” We expect to hear that and more tomorrow, unfortunately. He knows that in order to win Michigan, the Republican nominee needs to win the Senate race – and he’s going to do whatever he can to make that happen. That means we can likely expect to see Trump in Michigan a lot more in the stretch — especially since absentee ballots drop today, meaning voters can start casting their ballots NOW. At the same time, national Republicans are doing everything they can to flip our state red and boost our opponent in the Senate race. If we are going to keep this seat blue in November, we need to hold the line by keeping our own positive TV ads on the air, doubling down on our field outreach, and continuing to meet voters in every corner of the state.
