I've had the Etsy pages up on my browser for about 3 weeks now. Our living room needs shelves. Baby boy is running wild, and I can't risk him breaking our delicate, glass photo frames (they're from ZARA – how demure), or touching our spiky cactus, meant for a mindful coffee table. I NEED shelves up asap. ⤵️ which one??? Problem is... I'm completely overwhelmed by the decision. 😰 Where do they go? What size? What color? Will I hit my head on them? Do I want them to stand out, or blend in so my "shelf things" stand out more? (Bless anyone whose brain can visually decorate a room before hitting the "checkout" button. My brain simply cannot.) So here I am... stuck in indecision. Kind of like the Instagram content rut I'm in right now. I've felt creatively blocked for a while now (with [some hits, and some major misses](=)), and instead of *JUST POSTING* (my advice), I've let the drafts go unpublished. ...Questioning... are they good enough? Or when I get a moment alone at my desk, I'll scroll for inspiration and then end up down a hole of comparison-itis, overthinking, and worrying about the opinions of, like, 4 people. 🙄 Sound familiar? We all go through creative ruts. I've been online for the last 10 years and I've had my moments of burnout, creative ruts, and considering a life totally off the grid. 🔌 All N-O-R-M-A-L. So here's what I'm doing to help push myself out of this rut: 1️⃣ I'm turning to coaches and people in my network who I see are on FIRE with their content. I'm buying their programs and tapping into their energy. 2️⃣ I'm writing down ideas the moment they hit. No waiting. "Ideas are alive, they have their own spirit, and if you ignore them, they’ll go find another person who’s willing to take them on." - Elizabeth Gilbert 3️⃣ I'm using ChatGPT like no tomorrow as my brainstorming buddy. I'm using Claude as my copywriting buddy. 4️⃣ I'm not forcing myself to create out of pressure to "keep up." I'm writing this to you now, in real time, as this message has come to me (ahhh inspiration, good to see you again, old friend). 5️⃣ I'm swearing off scrolling TikTok and Instagram 😂 and using my own [prompts from my membership called On Video]( – because that's why it's there! > To avoid the scroll-hole. >> To avoid the icky feelings of comparison-itis. To cut out 80% of the work it takes to come up with an idea in the first place. If you'd like to cut down on your ideation time and avoid annoying comparison-itis, check out [On Video](. I'm running a special promo where you can take 50% off your first month. 🙌 To taking my own advice. ~ Elise, Gonna Post Today P.S. Tap into the power of my team who searches social media for ideas FOR ME... and avoid time-sucking scrolling and icky comparison-itis. [Get On Video at 50% off your first month.]( If you wish to [unsubscribe](, you'll be removed from all mailings – including any paid programs you're a part of.
