A few vetted charities on the ground are positioned for immediate medical help, and thousands of donations from our community right now could go directly to these groups, with no red tape. They could have the money in hours, not days or weeks, and put it to use as soon as they can. It’s one of the most horrific attacks on the Jewish community in Israel in recent years and it has, rightly, shocked the world and triggered an outpouring of support and solidarity with the victims and their families. But now the response to this violence is even more violence. Israel's bombing of Gaza is creating a large-scale humanitarian catastrophe, and innocent people, mostly children, are paying the price. Brave organisations on the ground are already giving urgent medical care to civilians. Others are rushing to help combat medics who will work tirelessly to stem the loss of life.
