Highly intelligent animals, needless suffering URGENT: We need to shut down the largest octopu

Highly intelligent animals, needless suffering   [Close-up photo of an octopus, with limbs upturned and curling like spirals]( URGENT: We need to shut down the largest octopus farm ever before it's too late. We're about to protest in the streets of Madrid, but we need more signatures to save the octopuses. Add your name with just one click to SAVE THE OCTOPUSES from torture farms: [ Sign the petitionÂ]( {NAME}, Octopuses are solitary animals that need to move freely. Living in captivity in an extremely small space with millions of other animals is not species-appropriate and leads to a slow and agonising death. The increasing demand for octopus meat is promoting the cruel breeding of this highly intelligent animal. If octopus farms are allowed to proliferate, millions of these sensitive creatures will be crammed into tiny aquariums until they die miserably from stress or are killed, painfully, by icy water. But there's hope: we just helped get the Oppose Cruelty to Octopuses (OCTO) ACT to pass in the California Legislature! Now we can take this ban to the whole world, starting with Spain where a GIGANTIC farm is being built. We don't have much time, add your name with just one click now: [Sign the petition to save the octopuses from industrial farming.]( If we join our names together and sign this petition, we can build on our win in California, and stop Spain from becoming the first country in the world to build a commercial octopus farm. On October 5, we will stage a demonstration in front of the Spanish Congress in Madrid, and demand that the Spanish government deny Nueva Pescanova permits to build its cruel octopus farm. We will also press the Spanish government to pass legislation to prohibit octopus farming more broadly. We’ll be on the street, and conducting a press conference, with a strong coalition of groups working to protect public health and to end animal cruelty. Let's make this huge -- sign and share our petition to stop octopus farming! We’ve made strides in California, and we can do it in Spain. We’re already over half a million strong. Let’s flex our collective power for good.
