It’s designed to be especially beneficial for new teachers. [Edutopia - What works in education] [Madison Shumway] Madison Shumway Edutopia Community Team Hi, It’s about that time—the adrenaline rush of back-to-school season is waning, and the nitty-gritty needs of the school year feel more pressing. Classroom Management is undoubtedly an area where extra strategies and support are always helpful, especially if you’re newer to the profession. That’s why we’re reaching out to let you know about a new virtual session we’re hosting this Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT. Our panel of educators will examine the “invisible” strategies that are often present but not always obvious when classrooms are well managed. They’ll also ensure you leave the hour with practical tips you can apply the next day. While this session is designed to be especially helpful for new teachers, all are welcome. [Register here!]( We hope to see you and your colleagues there. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
