[two kids at table with paper and art supplies]( [group of people standing]( [group of people sitting outside]( When I announced my retirement earlier this year, I reflected on the remarkable journey that began over 26 years ago with the Institute for Educational Advancement. I could never have imagined this organization's profound impact on the lives of students, families, and the field of gifted education—or on me personally. My heart is filled with gratitude and awe. After a thorough national search, I am pleased to announce that Deborah Monroe will join IEA as the new President in late August. Deborah is a longtime leader in education with extensive experience as a school leader, administrator, and teacher in independent schools. Her vast experience in educational leadership will be invaluable as she guides IEA in reaching and serving gifted youth and their families. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Deborah! We are excited for her to join the IEA team as we support gifted youth. Her deep understanding of our goals, combined with her visionary leadership, makes her the ideal person to help expand our capacity and grow our organization to support even more advanced learners nationwide. Stay tuned for upcoming initiatives and opportunities to connect with Deborah as we continue to diligently work toward our mission. I am delighted to continue to support IEA as a Senior Advisor and member of the Board of Directors and look forward to an exciting future of continued success.
