Our summer of programming commences! We eagerly await the return of our Academy students and their families for Session 1 starting on June 17. Additionally, we're excited to introduce a new EXPLORE series, our summer research project tailored for students aged 12-15. Dive in for more details. IEA IMPACT FUND - DONATE TODAY! . Your support is crucial to us! We're dedicated to providing quality programs and services for gifted youth. To ensure all gifted youth and their families can access our programs and services, we strive to keep tuition low and offer financial aid as much as possible. However, tuition and fees don't cover all of our program expenses. We need your help to raise our goal of $400,000 in 2024. [text]( This is why we are creating the IEA Impact Fund. Annual donations to the IEA Impact Fund help provide the critical support that makes our work possible. [students in classroom]( We are beyond excited for the return of our students for Summer Academy. This will be our largest Summer Academy ever! It's clear that there's a need for advanced enrichment that goes beyond the classroom, and we are honored to be able to serve so many gifted students. Summer Academy Session 1 starts on June 17. If you haven’t made plans for the summer, we have space available in a few of our classes. It’s also not too late to register for extended care during the summer sessions. Students will have the opportunity to collect nectar samples at The Huntington Botanical Gardens and contribute to novel botanical research at our IEA Learning Center Lab. Financial aid is available. [Student][people standing with award] A big shout-out to Atticus Stewart and Channing Yang (CDB Class of 2028) who competed in the 2024 MATHCOUNTS Competition in Washington, D.C. Atticus placed 15th in the [top 25% of competitors for the South California State Competition,]( and his [high school team also placed 5th!]( Channing [won the Written Competition](, placed as [Countdown Round Quarterfinalists,]( and his team (Team Texas) [won the team championships]( in the National Competition! We're so proud of all your hard work and accomplishments. YUNASA . [kids at camp horseback riding rock climbing making s'mores] As you are reading this, our campers and program staff are having a great time at Yunasa West in Colorado! They're making new friends and catching up with old ones over s'mores. There are so many camp activities from archery, music, horseback riding, rock climbing and psychosynthesis workshops that all campers have a chance to practice honed skills and break out of their comfort zones. SUMMER SPOTLIGHT . [People coloring, making bubbles, bracelets and ice cream ] ​​ Our annual Summer Spotlight brought lots of familiar and new families to our Learning Center at the end of May. We blew bubbles, made friendship bracelets, and tried dry ice gelato made by our amazing EXPLORE students. It was also a great chance for our students and parents to meet one another who are enrolled in our upcoming Summer Academy! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. We appreciate all our volunteers, students, alums, teachers, and families for helping build this wonderful and supportive community at IEA.
