Join us on June 18tth for a summit to create an equitable world of work [] [WB Updates Header]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [About Us]( [News]( [Data]( [Contact Us]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Gender-Based Violence and Harassment in Focus: A Summit to Create an Equitable World of Work [GBVH Summit: A Summit to Create an Equitable World of Work] On June 18, 2024, the U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau is hosting “Gender-Based Violence and Harassment in Focus: A Summit to Create an Equitable World of Work” at the U.S. Department of Labor Frances Perkins Building from 9:00AM – 5:00PM EDT. This all-day Summit will focus on opportunities to end gender-based violence and harassment in the world of work. Marking the one-year anniversary of the release of the U.S. National Plan to End Gender-Based Violence, the Summit will convene workers, unions, employers, government representatives, worker advocates and other stakeholders who are working to prevent and address gender-based violence and harassment in the world of work at the national, state and local levels. Speakers and participants will discuss the importance of identifying, responding to and preventing gender-based violence and harassment in the world of work. Hear from a distinguished list of speakers, including: - Chidi King, Chief of Gender, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Branch, International Labour Organization - Rakesh Patry, Director General, International and Intergovernmental Labour Affairs, Employment and Social Development Canada, Government of Canada - Mana Shim, Partner at Accelerate Strategies, Chair of U.S. Soccer Federation Participant Safety Task Force, Former Player in the National Women’s Soccer League - Linda Powell, Actor and Executive Vice President, SAG-AFTRA - Mónica Ramírez, Founder and President, Justice for Migrant Women The Summit will also feature representatives from: The White House Gender Policy Council, U.S. Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, DOL's Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Bureau of International Labor Affairs and Women's Bureau.
