The annual Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras starts on 15 February, attracting over 20,000 visitors from Australia and around the world for a 17-day celebration of LGBTQI pride. There’s a huge line up of more than 100 diverse events with dance parties, burlesque, comedy, talks and, of course, the legendary Mardi Gras Parade on 2 March when more than 300,000 people line the streets.
