LADIES IN BLACK TO PREMIERE
Based on the best-selling novel by Australian author Madeleine St John, [Ladies in Black]( is a love letter to 1950s Sydney. Directed by cinematic legend Bruce Beresford (a personal friend of St John), the heart-warming film is a coming of age story about a teenager who goes to work on the glamorous fashion floor of a fictional department store. It touches on major issues like immigration, intolerance, multiculturalism and the role of women in the 50s. Ladies in Black will be in cinemas in September.
